Wild goose chase?

I have been searching for a 177 Cricket or Taipan Veteran/Mutant for months with no luck. I have read others posts about members having them and theyre listed on both company websites but still no luck finding any for sale.

Lots of 22 and 25 cals out there. Were the 177’s just not popular enough in the states? Wondering if I’m on a fools errand and should give up the search or just bad timing with dealers and one will pop up. Thoughts?

Can't speak to the .177 and cricket combo but there were all of 0 .177 Mutant/Veteran's imported to the US (no idea how long/how many were avail elsewhere). A gentleman who seems to have gone quiet seems to have had a contact and brought 5 .177 kits (minus the barrels) into the US. I was lucky enough to get one. It's been gone for while.

I love .177, but.....

BTW... the .177 kit consisted of a magazine, a probe, and a replacement barrel fitting. (the brass piece you seen in the loading port of the action). Easily duplicated by a machinist, except for maybe the mag. The barrel would just need to duplicate the machining on the .22/,25 into a quality .177 barrel. Not hard given the stock pieces as a template but wouldn't be cheap. The kit and having a barrel machined was like $350, several years ago.
