i have some 027 WIKA gauges coming for my Impact X (couldn’t wait for the Keller’s. EQ=nil). I’ve seen a variety of discussions here going back to like 2015 about installing these things.

Do these gauges (yes 1/8 BSP). Simply plug and play? I’ve seem to remember comments about slightly mismatched threading, as well as something about a need to add some kind of washer to ensure the gauge-face ends up oriented correctly.

anyone have any thoughts/suggestions/lessons-learned?

Yes be carful how tight you turn the gauge. If you tighten it to much to align the gauge you could collapse the very thin aluminum into the tube. I have seen this happen and it can make it very hard to take down for a repair because the aluminum was pushed into the opening of the tube and make it very hard to remove without damaging gun.

AL,

Were you able to verify the thread on the rifle? Maybe check with FX USA? It just seems odd to me that 1/8” BSP thread would be used on a gun in (what I imagine) in all other respects is entirely metric. The fact you mentioned having read a put mismatched threads would definitely spur me on to make an inquiry from the folks at FXUSA. Be a bummer to mash the threads on those puppies and the rifle.

I tried to order the gauge from csgshop about a year ago and it changed my paypal shipping address to a person in California. My name and address is nothing like that... needless to say I didn't buy from them. They may have fixed the problem but better safe than sorry.

THAT happened to me last night!!! It tried changing my info to STEVE JOBS, Cupertino, CA. I have no idea what the hell that was all about, but my order processed correctly after I chose the correct shipping address.

Same here. I interpreted that Steve Jobs stuff to be a silly equivalent of the long-used Lorem Ipsum template-content, commonly used by code-monkeys to test form-specs. I just changed it to my information. I have received a shipping notice. We’ll see.
