Why no springer bullpups?

The PCP world has proven that there's a huge appeal for BPs, why are springer makers so blind? I guess it would have to be a side-lever, barrel above the spring cylinder, but that wouldn't bother me. If Frederik Axelson (FX) would design one of his awesome triggers for AA, Weihrauch, or Diana, I bet it would sell like hot cakes.

@Calbarry: I can easily imagine cocking a BP springer using my right thigh as support, but I think a pistol would be too small & unsteady to do that, so I don't think it's fair to assume it's too hard to cock comparing it to something very different. But I appreciate that you got me to consider the cocking aspect.

@Thurmond: thank you, I hadn't seen that thread. I searched for 'bullpup' in the springer category, but that thread was in a diff category.

Ok if you really want to go that way? Its simple to go thru the Crosman custom shop (20% off on the custom shop for the 4th) Pick the 1300 KT and add the 18 inch barrel and go with the shoulder stock and forearm. Of course its a pistol action that you pump but with the 18 inch barrel it will be powerful. Add a Mrod trigger group and you will be good to go.

and they put your name on it for free,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ;)

P.S. go with the longer steel breech.

"bokes"thanks for your suggestions, I'm looking for the quality level of Weihrauch, Air Arms, or Diana. & I've got my recoilless needs met by the PCPs.
I was just curious if yous think there's a completely untapped market out there for high quality, bullpup springers.

Well the high quality part is what gets in the way? With PCPs coming down so much in price. Well not so much coming down as some of the new models are a lot less money. A quality springer bull pup would have to be more than some PCP rifles. I have a TX 200 with a walnut stock that cost more than some PCP. I don't think there is any demand unless they make one so cheap the big box stores could carry them. And how long would a cheap built gun last?

A cheap built gun can last a long time. I have a 10 year old beeman rs2 made in China springer. Thousands of rounds through it, and it still shoots a 7.9 gr lead pellet 890 fps accurately

I got this response from Darek in Poland:

Hello,
I think we can make a bullpup kit for that airgun. But first - we need some photographs of the system. From both sides and from the side of the trigger. Large and clear. I then will be able to see how it looks like and after that - I will give You the final answer.
Best regards,
Darek

I don't currently have a Diana48, but if you do, please feel free to email some pics to Darek, & hopefully he'll follow up & offer a kit for this rifle.
