I guess the key is to decide which system you want, whether matching turrets and reticles matter to you (hey, it might not) and find a scope that fits YOUR requirements. Research is the key.

That was pretty much the OP question. Why Mil reticle with MOA turrets. I think (in the US at least) most guys just use the dots for aiming points. Hence the seemingly increase in scopes with BDC reticles available on store shelves. No calculations involved. The 1/4" per click is easier to "figure" for those not using metric values (again the US) when sighting the scope in. After that no adjustments. Kinda make me think the majority of scopes purchased are US buyers."Erik"Wow, that scope you linked doesn't make any sense at all.. who wants a moa/mil scope?
