I am not sure if I asked this before or not, but it really makes me wonder, why people get the opportunity to leave negative feedback without others seeing who they are!? Not only do I wonder why the forum does not change this, and make them public, but I also wonder why people choose to stay anonymous? Just say who you are. I mean, what do you think is going to happen? Seriously, I do not get it!? Is the "fear of retaliation" the reason? If that is the case, why is pretty much any other forum not "afraid" of retaliation and you cannot stay anonymous?

    thanks,

I agree, especially for negative accuracy. If you feel strongly enough to award negative accuracy, at least have the balls to put your name at the end of your comment. Allowing anonymous negative accuracy promotes cowardice. Or how about this? You can be an anonymous coward, but your negative accuracy doesn’t count towards the total, or only counts a half or quarter point?

Thanks, totally agree with you. Point and case, look at your feedback. : ). Anyhow, I was going to say the same thing, but decided to start out "slowly", if you know what I mean. : ) Hopefully we can get an official reason to why they keep feedback anonymous?

    Thanks,

Totally agree guys (COWARDS) with no (BALLS) If your going to have a scoring system like this, someone – (moderator) should step in to see if it is justified or change it to where your not anonymous. Get ready for the -1 boys (LOL)

    Thanks for the input… it just earned you a +1. : )

I am glad others think the same way. Hopefully more and more people will, and the Mods (I think there is only one) will change the way feedback is given and handled.

    Thanks,

kelii223  For your info I have never hit a red button  & trust me if I do I'll leave my name, can't speak for the other fellows. But on the other hand I've been a victim of the red button, ,seems that if you post or reply to a subject matter some people want a reply back immediately. Well I have better things to do than sit on a computer all day long. And yes you have it half way right AIN"T GOT NO BALLS (LOL)   Hope you have a nice sunny day for shooting !  Darell

The reason it is anonymous is to prevent a war between members. Example: I give you a negative. You give me one for giving you one and on and on!

I disagree and here is why:

    1. If the feedback would NOT be anonymous, then half of it (if not more), would NOT even be left to begin with. People would think twice if they want to get into a p*ssing contest or not.

    2. Speaking of p*ssing contest… That is what I would call it, a p*ssing contest between (somewhat) grown men, and NOT a "war".

    3. I can see people leaving negative feedback once, as some sort of "payback", but I cannot see them going back and forth with this. And if they do, they will realize pretty fast that it is just childish.

    4. Speaking of childish. Leaving negative feedback anonymously, because is "afraid" of getting negative feedback back, is just childish and lame and stupid and simple minded and lame and stupid and… you know, childish.

    5. People are too worried these days about what others think of them. Others they do not even know. Everyone is trying so hard to be "nice" and "play along", instead of just being themselves. If you do not like something, say it. But say it to the person directly, and not in the form of negative feedback. Seriously, that is just stupid and lame and stupid and childish and…. OK OK, not again. : )

    6. Leaving negative feedback does actually not have to be anonymously!!! People just choose to go that route.

    Thanks,

An issue that I have from time to time is accidently hitting the red button or the flag button. I use my phone for all of this and sometimes if I hover a finger too close or too long the blasted thing clicks it. I had an incident just the other day where it flageed a post and when I hit cancel it still logged it as a flag for some poor undeserving person.

I would think that a mod can reverse that with just a few clicks…

Well said +1 for you kmd 1984 for this very good post which I believe others wondered about this subject as well who didn't have the BALLS to ask the question as you just did. I believe it may be because of jealousy or if someones too smart or analytical (ANAL-ytical)  or too showy off with their guns in an arrogant or offensive mannor or bashing on others for their personally loved guns on this forum with snyde and demeaning remarks. I have often wondered how many negatives a member here need to actually earn before facing any consequences if any?

This is a great topic.  I've never left any bad feedback, always kept respectable, polite..ect and I just got two?

We do not want this form to have everyone so sacred that they don't even want to start a conversation at all.

There are people who with put negative just because you think one gun is better than the other.  I had this just happen.  I guy was bashing a specific thing on a gun i own and I asked him if he even owned one, he never replied and gave me negative accuracy.  WHAT?  IS THAT CORRECT?

Micheal, we need to find a way to correct this, hope your listening?

Yup, sadly enough, this happens quite often.

Some dude got negative feedback for this reply!? Can you believe that!? Wait! And he got negative feedback for this reply as well!? Seriously? What a bunch of BS…

    Thanks,

    Kmd

EDIT: The mods do not want people to leave negative feedback as retaliation, but fail to realize that many ONLY leave negative feedback because they know that no one will retaliate on them! That is a fact. I mean, isn't it great that you get to run around, point fingers, talk smack about someone, while hiding behind your keyboard… People would think twice about leaving feedback if it were done publicly.

They would sit there and think, "If I leave this guy negative feedback, will others agree with me, or will they think I am nuts!? I do not want to make myself "unpopular" so I better not do it…"

    Thanks,

    Kmd
