I'm not fond of the wood stock airguns for field work, my only reason for not liking the Vulcan...but this is nice. What's the story on it??

Can't remember where I read about it but it is a new Vulcan model from Air Gun Technology that is considered a rifle with a synthetic stock and adjustable butt pad. Coming soon supposedly. Appears quite a bit larger than the current Vulcan Bullpup

I think it is just painted wood but it is hard to tell. I don't know why you would paint over nice grain though.

Man, these Airgun Technologies guns make me consider stepping up to the big leagues! That thing (and the Vulcan bull pup) just look awesome!
That said, I am not yet totally sold on the whole bullpup thing...but a carbine like that? Where do I sign up?

Well, I contacted the manufacturer and got a response.
"synthetic stock version - in the near future is not planned"
So it looks like we will be waiting a while for a synthetic stock Vulcan. The wood stock is the only thing keeping me from putting a Vulcan on order. Now I'm heavily considering the FX Wildcat as my first PCP.

Looks like you can really lower the scope by a fair bit that way, big advantage over the full BullPup version,...and yeah, black synthetic over wood any day on pups

Longer tube and barrel it should be a nice carbine option. Don't let the wood stop you from owning one of the nicest bp's on the market. You can always paint the stock. Sorry wood lovers.

This thread is over a year old. The gun in the pic is the Vulcan tactic and is on sale everywhere that sells Vulcans. I have never seen a synthetic stock version so they probably never released one in North America.
it would be fairly easy to make the wood version look like that using a can of spray paint.
