Who has experience with Altaros regulators?

I just purchased my first PCP, (a Brocock Compatto in .177). I was debating on adding a regulator. The Alteros regulator looks very easy to install. But, every other regulator has you loosen the tube, (Huma), or drill an air hole, (Lane). Lane's videos even warn of the gun locking up if you fail to do this.

Has anyone used an Altaros regulator, (especially in a Compatto)? Do they work well? How much maintenance do they need? Thank you for any advice!

I have one in my Bantam set on high power. I used a dowdy washer in front to get everything lined up. Hand tight! Works great. Very consistent. It came quickly too. I get about 140 shots good shots. You may have to adjust the regulator pressure a bit to match your rifle. BTW, look for a coupon for eBay on line. You can find them fro 10 to 20% off. Pays for shipping.

Had one of their bottle regs on an Air Ranger and found it to be very consistent.

I put one on a bantam last year. It was a easy install but I never did anything with it as it just sat in the closet. I pulled it out last week and the bottle was empty so I found that I had damaged the O-ring on the gauge. The regulator comes with extra O-rings but that was a year ago so who knows where I put it so I contacted them from our favorite auction site and they gave me the size of the O-ring I needed. They offered to mail it but shipping was 10 bucks from the other side of the world. Anyhow I have over 200 of these O-rings if anyone needs them as there was a 5 dollar min purchase from the O-ring supplier.
