Which to buy: Vulcan, Fx Bobcat or FX Wildcat? I need help deciding in 25 cal

"Daxx"Any update on the Vulcan vs Wildcat? I'm leaning towards one of these two guns after reading until my eyes crossed and brain turning to mush.

well no, but I have the WC and I've read much about the Vulcan and I think you can't go wrong with either. They're actually more comparable in price than many realize because the Vulcan comes with two magazines and a case and if you add that to the WC, it's only $100 difference. And there may be other differences that equalize the price.

I like both and wish I could justify owning both. There's nothing I'd change about the WC....no, I take that back, I'd have it come with a picatanny rail or at least a swivel base installed. Working the action is sweet, accuracy is awesome, trigger is really nice, the magazine is nice, I love the look of the metal and of the synthetic stock, it's damn quiet,....I love my WC. Wish I owned a Vulcan so I could compare the two but I sure like the Vulcan too! How about YOU buy one of each and let us know ;)

From my admittedly limited experience thus far with the WC, I would highly recommend it. Really do like my WC ... and I agree that there is little that I would change.

That being said, if there was one thing I would like to see it would be, (speaking from a "right-handed" persons perspective), relocating the cocking handle to the left side of gun. I think that would allow faster "next shot" chambering of the round:
  • without removing trigger hand from the pistol grip
  • removing gun from shoulder and cheek from cheek rest (which will require re-accquisition of target)
  • or reaching over gun, with left hand, to actuate cocking lever
IMHO, by moving the cocking lever to the left side, it would be a significantly less complex task; reposition left hand back onto forearm grip vs. repositioning right hand i.e. finding thumbhole and then locating trigger without (prematurely) touching off round.
All that said, I am still really happy with the WC...Great job FX.

AV8OR2, I decided to go with the Vulcan and do not regret that decision for the very reasons you have pointed out in your post. I'm right handed shooter and while playing around with my gun I've realized the value of the bolt being on the left side of the action. Plus it can be switched for left handed shooters! A very good design feature, however the movement of the bolt, back, forward and then downward is more awkward than the straight back and forward cocking motion of the Wildcat. Hard to go wrong with either.

Wish I could buy both!! I really like the way the Vulcan is built and the performance seems awesome, but I'm not a fan of the wood stock and prefer the all black synthetic black-ops look. The Wildcat looks fantastic, but I haven't seen enough shooting reviews or feedback to know if it's really as good as the claims. But the low weight, action, and trigger sound exactly like what I want -- but where is my bipod mount?? Come on FX!!

Meanwhile I'm sitting here with neither gun and drooling. One will be mine!! But which one?

UPDATE: OMG, is this for real? A synthetic stock Vulcan??? YES!!!

I have a 25vulcan & have fell in love with it. Very very accurate and seems like a toy in your hands. I have a AAS510 carbine which is about the same length & weight as a WC that I shot daily till I got the Vulcan. Got it out yesterday & shot a few times & put it back up , just not the same after shooting that little bullpup. The Vulcan is so easy to handle & so comfortable when carrying/shooting. This is what I will hunt with from now on I & have smacked a bunch of birds with it already. Dont know which gun is better just some input on mine.
