Which to buy: Vulcan, Fx Bobcat or FX Wildcat? I need help deciding in 25 cal

"keysersoze"Scott, I never said Ed invented the bullpup. The simple fact is Ed produced the first production outstanding bullpup that had a massive cult following that eventually became mainstream because Ted made cool videos. Ed proved that a well made pup could sell. The EDgun inspired Kalibrgun to make the Cricket, the Wildcat is a response to the Cricket. The first time I saw a side bolt was on Vulcan. Ted's IWA video from 2014. So I really don't know what you mean by Vulcan is a follower, if anything they are more an evolution from Kalibrgun since the owner used to work for Kalibrgun. These bullpups are really a Russian thing because they poach crows from their cars.

Back to the topic on hand. I still hold opinion that it is not fair to recommend a gun that does't really exist yet. How could anyone be truly objective off of feel alone?
@Keysersoze I was only being silly. My apologies to all. I also agree that recommendations for yet to be released guns is of little value to the OP.

My vote is Vulcan it's as compact as it gets at 26" wildcat is 35" (carbine) and Vulcan is still putting out 47 fpe 😁 also light weight and has cz barrel whitch is proven accurate past 100 yards 50 shots per fill the regulater is as good as it gets efficient as it gets who copied who or who innovated what, doesn't concern me at the end of the day what does concern me is the best rifle competition is good for all of us makes the manufactures stay on there toes putting out better and better guns in the end like Ted said make a list the new Vulcans are coming with a better ldc I wrote the specs down on paper for wc Vulcan and compared them side by side and I chose Vulcan

So beach gunner, all of that should give you food for thought. The conversation derailed when Scott said "enough said". And it crashed through a huge window when KS called the bobcat a "beluga". But if you sift through the personal opinion, there is actually some useful facts to consider.

To the members of this forum, please think before you start kicking the hornet nest. We all have a lot of money sunk into our various favorite brands and models. And, consequently, we are quick to defend our purchase decisions. Try to remember this when you make sweeping judgements.

Honestly the Vulcan has had my attention from the get go, with that being said I'm curious about the Wilcat as it is about 250 cheaper at the moment. However there are none out there being used so there is very little real data regarding the Wildcat. I'm new to modern airguns, a hunter all my life. Recently (past 12 months) via Ted's YouTube vids I have rediscovered airguns and the enjoyment of my childhood prowling around the neighborhood targeting prey. I'm sick! .....watching YouTube vids 2 and 3 hours nightly my wife is worried! But I love the challenge of putting a pellet on my POA on the target; prey or otherwise. I have no choice but to continue down this path and PCP has my attention. I'm considering Airguns Anonymous....LOL....for all of us! I truly appreciate everyone's input you guys are great.

If you're looking for sympathy, you've come to the wrong place!

Beach gunner you are singing my song. Since buying a property with some land and 100's of ground squirrels I have discovered this hobby and have sat for over an hour waiting for one varmint to come out its hole in an area of our yard that really irritates me with a lawn chair, Shooting sticks, and my Revolution (also a cold beverage). I have to admit that I am obsessed but love the challenge of target shooting in my own yard and dispatching damaging critters. My wife too worries and thinks counseling is on my future.

Great advice Pirate...

How can you resist?

airkrazyI see a few people received their Wildcats today. I looking forward to receiving my .25 Vulcan with the new features on Mon or Tues. It gets exciting when all these new guns become available.
After seeing Ted's picture with the 25 Wildcat, I am already leaning towards the Vulcan due to the compact size. That is really one of my main priorities to have a 25 that is easy to carry and shoot from an ATV without banging the barrel into the roll cage etc. Trying to have more patience than my 4 yr old grandson and wait for reviews nonetheless. Do you mind sharing where you purchased from? I am not familiar with any of the Vulcan dealers from my google search...thanks

I agree that patience is key in making this type of decision, if you can wait to see reviews on the wildcat for instance. Then you would be able to discern, without much of a shadow of a doubt which is best for your purposes using Ted's punch list. But,I did spend the last 2 weekends trimming trees, so i could see every inch of my wife's garden from the kitchen window, waiting on a wildcat.

I purchased mine from TAG. Me and Peter have chewed the rag a few times on the changes to the cocking handle and the new shroud design. I had the cricket and thought I'd never replace it. I wanted to try the .30 Bobcat, so I had to sell it to help generate funds. I loved the smack of that .30 but the overall size over shadowed that. The CZ barrels have been known to defy how the claims of how fast Jsb's can be fired accurately. My cricket was shootings 950's when I first received it and it would hit sparrows at 60 yrds and was like they disappeared. lol. When I saw the stats on the Vulcan it was a no brainer. Cricket is 33inches and was sweet, Vulcan at 26in should be awesome. I'll post a quick review soon as she gets here. Vulcan also has really sweet rifle coming out also, the barrel is to be a little longer with a longer air tube.

"Daxx"Any update on the Vulcan vs Wildcat? I'm leaning towards one of these two guns after reading until my eyes crossed and brain turning to mush.

well no, but I have the WC and I've read much about the Vulcan and I think you can't go wrong with either. They're actually more comparable in price than many realize because the Vulcan comes with two magazines and a case and if you add that to the WC, it's only $100 difference. And there may be other differences that equalize the price.

I like both and wish I could justify owning both. There's nothing I'd change about the WC....no, I take that back, I'd have it come with a picatanny rail or at least a swivel base installed. Working the action is sweet, accuracy is awesome, trigger is really nice, I love the look of the metal and of the synthetic stock, it's damn quiet,....I love my WC. Wish I owned a Vulcan so I could compare the two but I sure like the Vulcan too! How about YOU buy one of each and let us know ;)
