looking at purchasing a Brocock Compatto in 177. should i order it with the optional Hugget Belita ($150), or get a Donny FL for it?

Personal opinion would be to chose the one you like the looks of. Function is similar in my experience. Of course Donny has more options and larger diameters that aid function. If AoA, don't be surprised if the thread protecter cap is locktighted on, or moderator if you order them together.

I have a Huggett on my Bantam and I can't imagine anything making it any quieter. But of course it's personal choice.

When I bought my Steyr rifle from Krale, I also bought a Hogan silencer, because I thought the rifle would be very loud, and it is. The Hogan is not as good looking as the DonnyFL products, but it works very well. The reviews indicated it is one of the best. I might buy a Donny for comparison.

Michael is the best Moderator/forum owner I've known. As for silencers most make it quiet regardless of brand within a few decimals so go for looks.

Id get a Donny just because you can remove it for cleaning purposes without a torch lol I also have the tanto on my impact and i would say it is about the same as what came from fx the (caps) i just liked the looks but Donny recommended a larger one for making it quieter.Anyway you could email him for a recommendation.

I have a Tanto on my .22 Compatto and love it, very very quiet and $50 less than that Belita.

I own 3 DonnyFLs and they all work great. Plus you can buy a kit to rebuild if it gets clogged up with dust. I have shot a few thousand rounds through mine and I just take apart and shake out the lead dust and it's good to go again. Ultra fast shipping too. Some you can't take apart so beware.

My Hogan screws right off, uses standard 1/2 X 20 UNF threads. It is also easy to disassemble for cleaning, although I question whether that will ever be needed.Most moderators that are sold with the rifle in this country will be attached with epoxy or something similar. But, if you buy a rifle with a threaded muzzle cap, then you can buy any moderator with matching threads, and thus avoid the issue. I don't think any of the muzzle caps are glued.
