Which Moderator?

I'm looking for a new mod for a .22 Brocock Contour 15 fpe .22 rifle. This is my squirrel gun so I'd like to keep it as short as possible, but I practice off hand shooting in the backyard so it needs to be quiet too. I'm looking at a Weihrauch for $73 shipped from the UK. I've read the Weihrauch is a solid performer, but it's also 7 3/4" long. The DonnyFL Tanto is only 5", but $107 shipped.

So, if it where you making this decision, which direction would you go?

No one ever takes my advice on this, but I'd get a huma 2 and 1/2 30mm mod. PLENTY quiet. I run this on my 15fpe 1322. Very light as well.

I also have a Brocock Contour S6 Elite in .22cal. What I find that really quiets it down is my Neil Clague 8" LDC and DonnyFL Koi. I also have the Tanto but it's not as quiet as the two mentioned above.

I have a Weihrauch on a 15 ft-lb Marauder pistol and it is very backyard capable - per ft-lb it might be the best in my stable.

I have a weihrauch moderator on my Daystate Regal.177. In 20 ft lb .I purchased it from Penchettapen and knife company. Works very very well. I have not used the others to be able to comment on them.

I shoot a DonnyFL Sumo on several guns and highly recommend them. His customer service cannot be beat and is ready available if you need anything in the future.

The Tanto works very well, it’s short, & comes with either cone or flat caps.
My advice is to go with the Tanto, but buy it used. Can be had for around $75

nice looking rig. i had a neil clague on it and it worked great, but it was too long for when i'm hunting in the thick stuff.

I agree, the Neil Clague and Koi are too long but they work really well. The Tanto balances out the dilemma.

I have several LDCs, and I have a 22 Brocock Concept Lite, I have tried all of my LDCs and others on my Concept Lite and while I like my DonnyFL Sumo and Tanto, none of them perform as well on my Concept Lite as the Huma 0DB… It's "scary quiet" as my girlfriend says...

When I bought my Brocock Concept Lite I was able to try all of the different LDCs the vendor had (never tried a Clague) before I bought one for it... I chose the 0DB simply based on performance on my Brocock...

One of the quietest moderators I have used was on the HW110 long version I borrowed from AOA a few weeks ago. The quietest was Joe Brancato's older Rapid with an AZ moderator. Almost silent. I thought the gun was broken when he shot it.
