Which FFP scope?

Hi fellow airgun friends,

i am searching for a good FFP scope in the price range around 300 to 400 euro/dollar. Import for me is that the reticle and click values are in Mrad.

I like when the scope has tactical turrets, who do not have a lot of movement between te clicks. ( premium feel )

in found 3 scopes but I have a difficult time to choose. What is your experience? What is the best option ? Which of the three has the best quality?

Falcon optics m18+ 5-18x44 mil ffp

Vortex diamondback tactical 4-16x45 mil ffp

primary arms slx3.5 4-14x44 ffp mil

I vote 3 times for swfa 3-15. I think they are great value for the $. Mine are all mil click -mil reticle. They can be had gently used from swfa for about $500 U.S. I think they are great centerfire scopes and also have them on 2 airguns. My father also has one. They will parallax adjust down to 6 meters, which is a great feature for airguns. That price includes a sunshade tube and butler creek scope caps that fit excellent and flip open in an instant. Good luck.

Agreed. Swfa has the best black Friday deals on the entire SS line. Worth the wait.

I haven't been behind any of those, but for $25 more bucks I don't think you will beat this: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1018816323

Somewhat related to your choices, I have a Primary Arms Platinum that is great. I believe that PA just has a manufacturer build to their specs to keep the cost down. Lots of great reviews on them. I will mirror what others have said with the SWFA. Their glass leaves a lot to be desired, but they are known to track very reliably. So you will need to decide how important turret tracking is. That seems to be where most of the "budget" FFP scopes fail; 20 mil dialed only get 19.5 actual, etc. A big deal for some, not for others.

Thank you all for responding on my topic!

I really am interested in the SWFA, but i live in Europe and it is very difficult to get this scope to Europe, not impossible, but I need to pay shipping and extra import taxes... then the price will be in total around 650 to 700 euro for the SWFA... it would be nice when a person in the US can forward the scope and put a lower value on the package so I might not have to pay for the import taxes.. 🙄

Since you are in Europe your best choice IMHO is the Falcon M18+. But it depends on your intended use. For airgun use, especially if you need good focus ranging the Falcon is superior to the SWFA. The SWFA is a great scope and will focus to 6m but it only has 90° rotation of the focus wheel from 9m to 50m which makes it difficult to range with. The Falcon has 180° rotation in the same 9m to 50m range and snaps in and out of focus much better. I have tried both for use in Field Target competition and much prefer the Falcon.

If you don't know, @jungleshooter, the Athlon Ares BTR 2.5-15x50 focuses down to 10 yd:

Aawwww, Allan, now I did NOT know that the 2.5-15x50 @10y ALSO sold for only $400...!

So NOW WHAT?!? Where am I going to get those $400 from?!? This is such a sweet deal!! 🤔
