Which calibers of the FX Impact MK2 can you quiet down with a suppressor....

My .25 with fx donny is backyard friendly. Like the above guy said, the impact with the target is usually louder than the gun.

What I found on my Falcon .22 with a suppressor is that on my pellet trap I put "duct seal", which is a grey putty material you can get by the pound at Home Depot and other hardware type stores; I put that on the inside backing of the pellet trap and there is no noise when shooting. My trap is out of wood and the paper target clips to a clip board with the most of the center section cut out and that board slides into the front of the trap; thus the pellet just penetrates the paper then gets stuck into the putty without making any impact sound.

So if you are shooting into a trap like that where the pellet just is absorbed into a few inches of duct seal, how large of a caliber can you suppress on a FX and be backyard friendly?

My .25 at 80fpe is extremely quiet even in the basement with my new Gladius moderator from

installed. Oh, and I use the duct seal trap also and it is very quiet as well. How large a caliber do you want to suppress? How much money are you willing to spend to suppress it? You can make anything that shoots under the speed of sound quiet but the gun can get spendy and awkward and large. Also it's not all caliber but fpe that makes them loud.

I have all calibers except.177 and I find very little difference from 22 to 30cal the human ear can't tell much difference but a sound check can pick up the difference between the 2. Now Donny Fl makes different moderators and sizes the bigger the better but I have a .30cal on high power and my shogun is just fine no problem. But the emperor is extremely quiet so it depends on your taste and look. But I did test on all of them and Donny Fl is by far the very best. Good luck.

That is great input! The cost is not an issue for me and am glad to hear your .25 is super quiet!

Wow! that was really helpful. Since I already have a .22 PCP, I am thinking of buying the FX Impact MK2 and want to know how the calibers sound with suppressors to help know what to buy. Do you think that their new .357 would be also quiet with the a suppressor as well like your .30? Even if it is not I am thinking of ordering the .357 and then also purchasing a .25 and possibly a .30 barrel as well.

I have heard from only a couple people that they own multiple FX Impacts as they would rather not retune the rifle for different calibers. I was hoping that if I buy very accurate gauges (maybe the digital ones?) for the rifle that maybe going from the .357 to either the .30 or 25 could be done if I write down the settings for the caliber? Is that doable with either the .30 and .25? I assume that the bigger the delta you change the barrel the more you have to tweak to shoot accurately? I do not know if that is correct or not and would love to hear input on that as when I search I do not seem to find many people ever sharing experience of switching calibers? It would be great to have the FX Impact MK2 in .357 and be able to switch to either the .25 or .30 if it is not too complicated to readjust the settings?
