Which barrel is better LW or cz

Are CZ barrels available in 25 caliber? I agree with Blackdiesel on this one, they are both very accurate brands. Based on first hand side by side comparison in accuracy testings in only 177 and 22 would give an edge to the CZ BRAND in consistently providing accurate barrels. LW have had some QC issues in the past FYI ask AZ. If I were you, I would be content with your 25 Cricket and spare any disappointment just in case it doesn't shoot as tight groups. I would highly recommend a 22 Mutant for now and wait until others buy theirs in 25 to see how well they shoot before buying one in 25 or if the seller is willing to go the extra mile to do a 50 yard accuracy test for you, which may be doubtful. There are also the EdGun and FX Bobcat option too if you seek tight groups at 50 yards in 25 caliber which are already proven and I think you already have an Airwolf MCT. I can only recommend guns that I have personally got the chance to shoot consistently at longer than average airgun shooting distances often times exceeding well over 100 yards. FYI the most accurate long distance air gun I had personally shot was an FX Tarantula in 22 caliber at 300 yards which had a LW barrel. Pellet on pellet at 50 yards all day long and did not have a regulator.

I currently have a Wolverine B-Lite in .25 cal with a LW & a CZ Barrel on my Colibri however it is in .22 cal. My CZ barrel is more accurate. It is even a lil more accurate than my ST on my Royale 400, I have not shot the Wildcat or Streamline enough to see exactly how they are going to perform. But preliminary indicates the one on the Streamline is going to be very close to the CZ barrel on the Colibri. I never shot any other gun with LW or CZ, so not much data, however my cz is laser accurate.

Just a suggestion: It takes a lot of well controlled testing to judge the quality of a barrel. You'll need to shoot benchrested, to minimize shooter issues. And it should be done with little to know wind, using pellets tested and found to shoot well in the particular barrel. Plus you need to test how to clean the barrel for best accuracy (maybe not clean at all?).

I compete in benchrest and my fellow shooters would agree it is hard to test - specifically - barrel accuracy. Most don't have the time, patience, or inclination.

I test for the guns' accuracy indoors in a much longer version of this and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WIND but gets hotter than heck inside during the day time. Literally a 300 yard indoor shooting range, farm equipment storage shed which provides perfect shooting condition. I use a gun vise to eliminate human error. It is mounted to a concrete tall slab and cemented to the floor which is so stable, once you mount the gun, you don't need to look through the scope when shooting groups. I also use a Dan Brown Air gauge and weigh and size my pellets. I can tell you which guns will do sub MOA groups at 100 yards out to 300 yards without any wind.

If I had to pick , It would be the CZ barrel every time, Sometimes you do not get to pick.
I am also going to order the 25 Mutant with the LW barrel,
I have a cricket 22 cz barrel and a cricket 25 with a LW barrel , Both are lasers, But if I had to pick, It would be a CZ
I have a 22 mutant that came with a Linstone barrel, I bought a CZ barrel for it (200,00) Both lasers , The CZ needs cleaned more often and is a little more pellet finicky , but what the hell its a CZ barrel.

WOW AJ, that is some testing facility. I am fortunate where I live , I can shoot 300 yards & we have little wind. If we do have wind I don't shoot @ least not for testing. I have two benches I made of heavy steel sitting on concrete & use this rifle rest, as well as their earlier model. It works for me.

I agree with Kim, it takes a lot to determine which barrels is most accurate. You can't go wrong with ST, CZ or LW , Marmot Militia's barrels are not bad either, but do need cleaned more often and really like lubricated pellets. When testing barrels for accuracy, I might add, keeping bias out of ones mind helps as well. Prejudice is not your friend.

IMO they are both great barrels.
I machined a LW poly barrel without choke .25 for my Boss, and has proven to be the most accurate gun I have ever owned.
I also machined a CZ .25 barrel for my Impact, and although it performs pretty good, the Boss shoots tighter groups at 50 and 100m. I have to admit that I'm still busy getting used to the Impact, but my Boss is the better performer so far.
Another advantage of the chokeless LW is that it barely fouls. It is clean within 4 patches.
So no need to worry about the mutants performance, LW makes a great barrel too.

I'd say it is a case by case basis. You can't say absolutely that a CZ or a LW is better. I've heard time and time again about the stellar performance of the .22 FX Tarantula with LW barrels. Harry, Ron R. and now AJ all say that this rifle was the most accurate airgun that they have ever shot.

With that said, LW and CZ are some of the best barrels you can buy.

"Dairyboy"My .25 Veteran could outshoot my .22 Mutant. I wouldn't sell my .25 Veteran ever. Also never selling my .22 Daystate Regal XL. Both LW barreled and getting rid of all my other guns as these are so accurate I don't shoot my others anymore
I hope my .25 Veteran is up for a challenge. Just took delivery of it last night. This is a very well designed bullpup ~ second to nothing.

Now that's a cool sister, give her a hug and tell her I said that,
My brothers would do it for me , But there would be payment down the line.
Now back to the barrel thing, My barrel is better than yours, Because its on my guns.
Case closed and over with.
Now wasn't that easy.
Dam AJ put some air in that place and a small bar and charge for day use, or night use.LOL

IMO you can't just say my cricket is more accurate than my daystate so CZ is more accurate. Maybe the gun it is strapped to plays a role in accuracy? Put a CZ barrel on a red ryder and try to outshoot a Regal Xl at 50 yards lol. I would bet that both barrels when made correctly are just as accurate and it has more to do with the consistency of the rifle it's on and the shooters ability to shoot that rifle accurately. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a rifle with either brand barrel but that's just me.
