Where to shoot in SoCal

Yea, me too. I'm also in SoCal. I'm in the middle of the 10-60-210 and 57 freeways.

Long gone are the days that an hours+ drive to shoot powder fired weapons, late lunch, then another hours+ drive home. A day gone.

I've only been into the PCP's since this "sickness" came about this year. I shoot crossbows, "in" my house. Across the living room and down the hall into a foam target. I use the same "range" for my PCP rifles (bullpups) and handguns. I talked to the local police about shooting in the back yard. "No"...was the answer. For various reasons. Though I can...lock the cats up, open the back door , stand back, (as far as about 35 yrds) and shoot...across the living room and down the hall, into my foam target. I just gotta be careful as my TV sticks out into the way of the pellet travel some..!

I live in SD County and I have an extensive collection of air guns. I shoot my PCPs at Rainbow Range two days a week for hours on end. Several other air gunners shoot with me. More are guys are getting hooked as time moves on and see us shoot. It is off I-15 in north SD county (just before BP Checkpoint) just south of Temecula. Super friendly and air gunners are welcome. You can find it online. It does cost. Membership or one day range fee. Outside (shoot from the shade) at 50 and 115 yards. Open everyday, crowded on weekends.

You can generally with pellet rifles as long as your 50 feet from houses or roads just make sure there's no hippie snitches around a lot of anti gunners will think it's a real firearm

I strongly caution anyone in Southern California to avoid shooting anyplace where others may see them. The general populace is not very well versed on firearms, and in the eyes of most, our airguns, and especially those that diverge from the standard walnut stocked type of long gun, will engender fear and mistrust. SoCal is definitely unfriendly to any kind of device that expels projectiles and people WILL call the police on you if they see you shooting anywhere near their houses.

How about shooting range in San Gabriel mountain called burro canyon range. You should check them out.

I stopped by that range shortly after I retired. I'm just down the hill from there.

To put is simply, that place scared me..! Haven't been back since.

There is two or three ranges in the Devore area. One is a new range called Route 66 shooting Range (or something similar). By the photos, it looks pretty nice, though by their website, seems kinda expensive.
