Where to order Ernest's FX Impact Power kits?

Yeah, I don't think the 2019 Power kit is ready yet. Could be wrong? I bought a kit in January but it was the simple 2018 power kit. The kit Ernest is working on now is much more powerful and has many more parts. As of April 15th he was still testing it. Stoti

Yeah that’s why I asked Kevin. My understanding as well. They were going out in bits and pieces for a wile there with mixed results on the part of the owners. I think they want to have them released in a more consistent complete package not to mention stocking up to meet the demand.

This "Custom Kit" was ordered on March 11, 2019. It was shipped 3 weeks later and arrived approximately one week after being shipped.

What does it include? I guess that’s the big question. No disrespect 2many, I just know he was still testing on April 15, and said it would be a couple months. I’m a bit confused too. Is it the complete kit, couple hundred bucks or the one a bunch of us got at the beginning of the year for around $60? Mine has a spring, hammer weight, couple misc parts. I think BDX got the same one. I remember all of us going through all of this confusion back then. Happy Easter everyone... if that’s your thing! Thanks, Stoti

You are correct. the kit that I purchased in March is the $60 something kit with the parts you list.

Can you pls post a pic of the parts? Does it include the barrel inlet and pellet probe?

That particular kit comes with a 6.5 gram brass hammer weight that replaces your plastic spring guide, a new OEM hammer spring and a 5.8mm valve seat. They were selling for $50 + shipping in the USA.

I run those parts in my Impact along with a ported barrel inlet and pellet probe and get (from my understanding) about the same velocity as the guys with all the new MKII parts + external plenum. I just installed a .22 700mm slug liner and fired around 10 shots through the cronograph. Reg set to 150 bar shooting the Neilsen 27gn(.217), fastest was 990fps and the slowest was 975fps. My Huma regulator was responding slower than normal taking around 10 seconds to reach set pressure after each shot. Maybe because the bottle was getting low. Here's a picture of my ported barrel inlet and probe.

James, a follow up question; Did the Huma bounce back after filling the bottle? They claim faster recharge on the Crown version so I assume that was also the claim on the Impact version as well. You’ll have to pardon my ignorance as I’m not sure if both use the same regulator.

I haven't refilled the bottle yet but I'm sure it will.

So we got this all figured out but back to the original question. Has anybody talked to Ernest and found out when the new kit will be available? Will it be user installed or will we have to send our guns in to Ernest? Last time I talked to FX USA back in late January, I think he said about 5-6 months until it would be available. On April 15, Ernest posted pictures and numbers for a gun he was testing. Sounds like things are progressing and the numbers looked good, hopefully it won't be long now. Stoti

Thanks for the detailed info. I am getting a MK-II so I think I should wait because it may already have a beefier valve seat.

Thanks for all the info guys. I believe, since I'm not in USA, I'll have to wait for the kit to be available.

Another question. With my impact (Gen3) today I am able to shoot 25.4gr JSB Monsters Redesigned at 940ft/s with ES of only 6ft/s and SD of 2 ft/s (after spend 2 tins of pellets making the adjustments and fine tuning). If I make by myself only the transfer port and pellet probe grinding, should I expect some increase on velocity ? If Yes, how much should I expect ?

940 fps are more than enough velocity and your groups are superb. With this performance I wouldn't make any change :)
