Where is the best place to order replacement hammer springs

I'd love to know as well. I got a new gun a while back and shortened the spring too much. Could not for the life of me find a comparable spring. No matter where I looked. Turned out the spring was from a different gun!

Id like to try different spring rates on each of my PCP’s other than the factory springs, and was curious as to where the best place to source different springs? I know tuners and experimenters have a go to place and I’d like to know a couple of these places. I’ve heard McMaster Carr? It was to be somewhere where I can list out diameter, wire thickness, etc.

Don't know that you will find a place that lets you easily ID by the dimensions you note but Brownells has a lot of different types of springs available. I've usually ordered several that appear to be what I needed and tried them. I usually just kept the others for later so I have a lot around.

Lee spring is who we have used for years at work. I'm sure they have a minimum order amount but excellent quality. 

Ebay just type in the size you need

I agree with Ebay but there are all sorts of of things to keep in mind

if 5 company's made the same size spring would they all have the same compression tension, I doubt it

will a picture really be a picture of the spring so you could count the coils, maybe not

can you find the right length or just something close, more then likely

could you test the spring for it's compression rate when you did get it or would it just be a guessing game

so is there an answer to this question NO

you have to take the spring you want to replace out and measure it up and then take a flyer and order some spring that MIGHT work as a stronger replacement and test for results

so will the spring be longer, heavier wire or both

so the bottom line is will be a crap shoot, oh and I have been there, so when you order buy all sorts of sizes because you might get lucky and find the right one

and for the rest of the unused springs, well they go in the used as yet spring box, at least that where mine go

don't we all have boxes for the ideas they did work or is that just me

I've got all sorts of unused, or otherwise dismantled parts in bags or boxes. Shims, bushings, spacers, springs, set screws, pins, bearings, ect.



I like going to the ace hardware to look for stuff. They have a good bit of springs, but not much in the way of the size I'd want to use for triggers or hammers.

I used McMaster Carr and thier springs were quality. I only used them once and it was from a recommended part number from a member here so I don't know how to look them up properly on the site Gluck. 

I got my 10lb springs from McMaster Carr from my Marauder days.
