Where do your guns live?

I currently keep mine in their cases but have decided to go the gun rack route for easier access.

Below, is the rack I have decided on.

How do you store your guns?

I think that you have made a good choice.😁

Now also get some silicone-treated gun socks to keep your guns cleaner when in storage, and to prevent dings when getting things in and out of the rack. I find that the ones which are marked 6" in width fit more smoothly especially for guns with a pistol-type grip. Most I think are marked 4-4.5" in width, and can be a bit of a pain to put on or take off. Also, as opposed to the stock photo you have shown, I find that the rifles fit better in these Winchester racks with their scopes facing outward. So they actually take up just a bit more floor space, but are still the most efficient racks for me.

Hmm, perhaps building a glass case around it may work for convenience?

That does look like a nice setup. Lots of guns in a relatively small space. Something I might try myself. As to "cluttered floor space" and "safes are a pita" posted above, I'd just say maybe relevant to that person and maybe relevant to others but certainly not relevant to all people.

That's gonna be a big case. With the scopes sticking out, the rack has a larger diameter footprint than just its base.

The silicone impregnated rifle socks are very little hassle to use once you get the right ones, and you pretty much can get used to anything. And for having to deal with them, I appreciate how they protect my nice guns.

I have heard that some folks don't using rifle socks (even the silicone impregnated ones) if they live in a relatively humid area. That doesn't apply to me, and I have never seen any issues they have caused. But just something else to think about when making your storage decision.

Thanks for the replies; so many options!

What I do now is pull out the case, open it, sometimes- depending on the gun, screw on the moderator, then point and shoot. My gun selection choices are .177 through .30 depending on the varmint, range, and back stop. I have to be able to get to the best gun configuration, point, and shoot before the opportunity is lost.

Maybe I'm overthinking this...

I like testing for POI shifts so I purposely lean all my gun's barrels against the wall. Just kidding. I seriously need to get a rack like what the OP posted because my collection has grown and my airguns are all over the place.

😐

I got the knock off wall mount for about $70 and made a portable stand for it. It works perfect in that I can grab, point and shoot the gun needed for the application as pests present themselves.
