Where Do I Post Scammer Info?

Send a PM to Moderator2 with the username of the alleged scammer. Moderator2 posted in the Classifieds section that s/he was now overseeing the Classifieds section.

If they sent you a PM then they are not "posing as a member on here", they ARE a member on here. You can send PM's unless you are a member.

TinBoat is correct you can only send PM's if you are a member so why are you calling this person a scammer?

He's probably saying he got a PM that looks like a scam, but thinks to highly of "real" bona-fide members to think of a scammer as an "actual" member of AGN : ) Just a guess!

For more than one reason, we've had several people create fake accounts & use them to PM other members. There are several ways to contact us:
PM myself michael
PM my new "Sheriff" moderator2
or Click on the link at the bottom of the page that says "Contact Us" which will send an email to all of our moderators.

Sorry for the late reply. To clarify: This person is a "member" here, but just joined the same day they sent me a message in resonse to a WTB ad. I can't find any posts by them. They also claim to be a member on another well known forum with feedback on the sales page, but the full name, user name, and email all come up with zero results.
They are only responding to WTB ads. Several days later I get a message via email now regarding a post on another page, with almost the exact same verbage of "Hello
I have it for sale in good condition. Let me know if you are still interested in purchasing."
When I responded, figuring it was a scam, asking for pictures & a phone number to reach them at, I received no response.
I will send the info to the mods here. It is up to them if they want to post the info.

Actually, it wasn't a guy trying to buy stuff. It was the opposite. He was responding to wanted to buy ads saying he had whatever the person was looking for.

That's right. I read your ad. Maybe someone will pick up charlie the tuna triggers and start making some more of them.

Those triggers are still being made. But the people who took over the company only take cash, USPS money order, or a cashiers check mailed to them.Too much work for me to purchase a $30 part. May sound stupid, but that's why I posted that ad.

I hear ya, paypal make things easy. Glad you did your homework on the scammer, there's not much I would put by people now day's when it comes to money.
