where can I buy a Hogan Decimeater Silencer

Biff, I guess the grass alsways seems greener on the other side of the pond... I have wanting to get a moderator fom Neil, but he doesnt ship outside the US...

Tip: look at the moderators from weihrauch... There the best and not heavy in weight... Should fit your hw just fine ( but wont give th sound decreasing benefit as it would on pcp...usually that is.

BiffBaxterHi Steve,

That supports what I've read. I saw before and after demos of the Decimeater on youtube where they went from
before and after every second for a few cycles. It sounded like the Decimeater made a significant difference.
I read mostly complaints about other brands.

Biff

Hi biff
They are very high quality and very effective...if your stateside, what you must be careful of are theae decimeaters are also if i remember correctly, rated and advertised that they can also be used on 22 rimfire half inchx20tpi thread is the standard here for threading all rimfire cals ,and air rifle cals, which may drop you in a load of crap stateside,i will have a read up and see what i can find out, this is may be why they arnt available or hard to find stateside

The Weihrauch works fairly well but the internals are made of plastic and not made to last, otherwise they would be a good buy. I have not seen or heard a Hogan but my goal has always been to keep the weight of my suppressors down, not to make them heavy. I had heard that fire arms used 1/2 inch x 28 threads and not 1/2 inch x 20. I have been asked many times to make them with 1/2 inch x 28 threads for fire arms and have flat out refused, not looking to go to jail for making something that will screw directly onto the end of a fire arm, that would be inviting trouble, Neil.

Hi neil
I have been shooting a moderated 22 lr for over 30 years, threads have always been half inch x20 even for some centrefire modsyou can.pretty well gets silencers these days on this side of the pond in most thread size, and a lot of metric threads also
My 300 win mag with a ase utra mod is 14x1..my 204r is 14x1
..my 22.-250 18x1 my 22 wmr ..half inx20
Amd my 22 lr half inch x20...we do see some rimfire silencers here now with half inchx28

NeilClagueI am lucky I am on the other side of the pond then, because 1/2 inch x 20 over here is more oriented towards air guns and 1/2 inch x 28 for fire arms. If they switched to 1/2 inch x 20 over here that could make things very sticky for me, thanks for the response, it is good to know, so it makes my not shipping them to the UK a good thing!

Hi neil
You can ship to the uk not a prob with any thread size !!
It only becomes classified as a firearm in itself?only if its fitted to a section 1 firearm,or on an air rifle only if its above the uk 12 ft lbs limit and which in itself is held on a firearms license, and that you have a slot(permission on your license) for a sound moderator in the in the same calibre as the gun its going to be fitted to, ie 22 lr and the slot for the mod will state 22 sound moderator,
So go ahead make em and send them,
Rgds steve
