When did they change the HW97K stock?

I bought a .22 HW97K from Krale probably 4 months ago or so and got a stock that looked like the one on the right. I ordered one in .177 on Tuesday and got one that looked like the left. I'm not so sure the guys over a Weihrauch made the right choice here. Personal opinion of course.

I much prefer the one on the left. More elegant skipline checkering. I don't usually care for the manufacturer name embossed on the stock. Somehow it cheapens it for me.

Ya'll need to go get a Covid test because you have zero taste. 

Edit- The more I hold it the more I like it though and I'm starting to come around to the looks as well. Guess I have no taste either.
