I see they deleted Tony Roman’s site.  He only does reviews on his site and now I see they deleted AoA’s site too.  They deleted the hunting video from AEAC.

Its only a matter of time before any hunting/pesting site that is not earning YouTube serious revenue, will be shut down.  I doubt you will see Keith Warren affected LOL

They did, Edgun commented on here somewhere that his video got shut down and he’s appealing it with YouTube. I think the time has come for the shooting community in general to find another video hosting site. Sad really…

Could it be overreaction to the events of last week?

That is weird. AEAC, Ted, Matt’s channels are all there but AoA is gone for me.

    Florida school shooting.
It sucks but, this is Youtube’s knee-jerk reaction to another horrible school shooting.
Anything that has anything to do with hunting, shooting, killing, of any kind or type is in jeopardy. The Youtubers are reacting to some of their friends being banned, yes… BANNED FOR LIFE, by removing anything that could be construed as shooting.
As far as earning revenue, youtube killed that for their shooting community a few months back after the last school shooting. So, it probably has no bearing on who, what, why, or when they ban, remove, delete, someone’s content.
I’m nervous about getting banned because I shot marshmallows!

If any of you guys want to start up a video posting site for shooting and hunting sports, hit me up. I’d be IN for a partnership. I have no idea how to do it but, it’s only a matter of time before anything that has anything to do with any type of shooting anything at all is banned.
I apologize for getting political but, freedom of speech is dying on youtube.
    Happy Shooting (except on youtube)

Vimeo.com is an alternative site.  They have a small video limit for free, and then a small charge to upgrade to larger videos.

I wonder if they shut Hickock45 down….he’s one of the most popular gun channels on YouTube.Hes actually a professor and has many sponsors and does tons of gun reviews and very good videos to say the least.

I just checked his channel is still up…I wonder if it’s because he has 3 million subscribers? That’s bullshit they shut down a Airgun video and not firearms.

    Hi Guys,

We’re definitely working through some challenges right now and as a precaution I deleted any & all content on AEAC related to hunting… it wasn’t YouTube, I did this on my own.  Giles has done similar.

Ted, Giles, & myself are meeting with Crosman Corporation (the planet’s largest airgun company) tomorrow to put our heads together and see if there’s anything we can do collectively to preserve our industry’s primary method of communication.  I’ve also been in contact with Umarex USA to discuss and I’ve relayed the recent events to the rest of the industry as well.

Yes it’s true, Hatsan USA, Edgun USA, and Tony Roman lost their channels this week, as did Airguns of Arizona.  Hatsan and AOA are taking steps with YT to recover them as we speak.

That’s all I’ve got at this time.

Big thanks to Steve at AEAC and the other folks (see AEAC post above) for taking time to try to formulate a plan for moving forward with our industry.  Your efforts and time are greatly appreciated by many!

I can vouch for the fact it can take a Long Time to get a decision on youtubes part reversed . It took me 10 month to have my channel re monitzed . It’s frustrating as Hell and you are Absolutely at THEIR MERCY !
I personally removed any videos that included hunting footage months ago , the thing folks who dont have a channel also don’t see is how it affects your channel on their constantly changing ” algorithm” .
YouTube channels get about 80% of their views from youtubes suggested videos ” the videos that magically show up ” on your home page , or on a search you type in .
My channels views have dropped over 50% In just a week because I have a ” gun ” channel . I’ve spoken to several other guys who’s seen same thing . They don’t have to shut you down completely to have a huge negative impact .
I hope Steve and the guys have some luck figuring out a way to keep the channels up because he is right . The videos are our best way as a group to communicate

It’s time to cut YouTube loose and start fresh somewhere else. They are only going to get worse.

Dailymotion used to be hunter/gun friendly back in the day; now they are as bad or worst than youtube.  I wish there was a good alternative with such geneous bandwidth as youtube.

Need to do like someone did with Facebook and file a Class Action against them for violation of rights
    They harass hunters
    They harass target shooters
They unfairly remove monetary ad rights from people whose revenue is there way of life
They have gotten to big for their britches
