Whats your setup for night hunting?

This is my setup I have configured for night hunting. Its works pretty good because how it is mounted so high there isn't much shadowing from the gun itself when using the light. Anyways, it feels a little bulky and hoping to get some ideas from other members on here on what their night setup looks like. I don't want to spend more then $200 dollars on a light and mount setup so that kind of rules out night vision scopes. What I really want to do is mount another rail on the side of the stock so I can put my offset qd light mount ,but because of how the air cylinder and stock are designed this wont be very easy. I don't do a lot of night hunting so a light fixture that can be taken off and on would be ideal.

I love my niteside too. It's a little expensive but the result is really clear.

Comprised of: Mini dvr, 12v pack, EJ230, 16mm lens, 950nm light, Sightmark NV adapter, a mobile phone mount/holder, (PVC tube, PVC cap, orings and misc build supplies). Cords I then cut to size, (soldered together in a short pigtail), ran those in wire loom & shrink wrap to keep it clean. Also have a 4" & 5" screen. I built this NV addon to be compact and a "one piece, one mount unit". One thumbscrew around the optic bell and I can change it out in seconds to another Air or PB gun (it doesn't have multi mount points etc). Clean, simple, lightweight, & can swap to another platform in 30 seconds or less. Does not have the features my ATN does.....but it outperforms the ATN in what I see through the screen. I was surprised.

"Lawrence"Nice setup!

This is the setup I use for coon and armadillo and rats. I use quick release on the bipod and rings for the light. I use white-light flashlights with lumens between 250 to 600. Most shots are in the 25 to 35 yard range.

Hi Lawrence, may I ask you what kind of polymer tube clamp that is? And what is the diameter of the airtube? I'm thinking (well hoping) it might fit my Wildcat...

AirgunNielsI am planning to buy a yukon photon nightvision scope,is it any good?
,Niels

The yukon photon is the best bang for your money..if you can find a 6.5 photon, without the locking ring in the front ,you can screw on a yukon doubler and it will take you straight up to 11.3 mag..
I use them over here on centrefires upto and including 300 win mag, without a problem, and great on an air rifle also for rats and rabbits ,especially when fitted with an external 940 ir ,,thee built in ir is crap
