I blew the pic up and I still believe its a cover, I do not know what is under the cover, thats my thoughts. Its too bad its so pixelated.

What’s this Impact plenum

Roelf was shooting the 30g slug @ 950fps with a 600mm barrel. So is that possible with a mk11 without extra plenum volume?

Good q. Will depend on the reg pressure. Latest mk2 can, but reg pressure will be high ( around160 probably) with a large plenum, low. I shoot those @ 120 bar (950 fps 30gn) over SilverSurfer

I love the one Michał made . I’m now able to fully take advantage of the impacts design . Good work on the design of the plenum Heavy -Impact .
Now if FX is indeed playing with this big plenum , that’s good too . There going to need all the help they can get with the design of a .357 cal .

So could you put something like that in the position of the stock plenum. You have a screw on cap either end. The valve housing end would be easy to tap a tread but not in the centre like you have done but on the edge so the plenum, it would hang under the barrel. You could make up the piece needed on the other end with a tread also. So you end up with a much larger plenum that hangs off centre. It may need some other support to stop it being pushed/ moved side to side. Just thinking out loud here. It just seems that if the larger plenum is going to be the way forward then it needs to be more integrated into the design of the gun

FX Made a knock off valvetube/plenum? jajaj please! (strong words) FX is making and testing a larger plenum probably way over a year! (I have say it before, plenum is the most dangerous part of the impact and it must be LONG tested before selling IMO, and the reason why I do not sell plenums even when I could) and I saw someone with that same idea about 2 years ago!

They didn't have the eccentric design or Mr Rowe would've been working off of that instead of the external one he designed. And if FX had it they never would have retooled for the insignificant size increase of the MKII air tube... just doesn't make business sense.
The real funny is that you saw it two years ago but never mentioned it through all the discussion in your impact mods thread. Everyone was talking about the space limitations of the concentric tube.
Big businesses employ a mechanical engineer to do the math on parts like pressure vessels so they don't take a long time testing for safety. The safety is designed in and the parts would've been in South Africa a year ago.

Seems I touched some sensitive nerves here!
Simple: they announce the 0.35 in February 2019 way before Poland plenum exist, and FX Knows that with actual plenum that is IMPOSIBLE. FX making knock off sounds a bit extreme. (both examples you give are business arrangements not knockoffs!) copy sounds not so hard, but HEY! I speak spanish! jaja and maybe I am getting something wrong
I Remember our chat and thought about it for a couple of weeks, but I change my mind since not interest in solving a problem that is already solved (with ER plenum). Or maybe was something else that I can not share?! (just maybe)
Where the idea came from? not a clue (not me), but I do remember taking my impact to a Lathe Master and the first thing he told me when I explain the problem was: Off center that! and he was the first time that saw an impact, and it was in 2018 (december if I recall correct). So it was his idea! jajaja
