What’s the difference?

Like many forum members I’ve been watching Bob’s long range videos and the results of the recent competitions which leads me to ask what does the FX impact have that others do not?

From my limited understanding the basic components seem similar so what’s allowing the impact and other FX models to perform at 100 yards and beyond?

I understand slugs and their advantages but clearly there is more going on then slugs and slow twist barrels. Seems like we have a 223 going up against a 308 in some situations How so ? And what can we expect from the competition? John H

1) Versatility

2) Power adjustment/tuning as others have said

3) Like the Ruger 10/22 and AR15 (but to a lesser extent) it's a user customiseable platform, consumers love that

4) It's a fiddlers/tinkerers dream and middle aged men who like to play with mechanical things, especially guns love this

With the Impact's adjustment capabilities comes inhareted downfalls. If one of those hundred O-rings fail,...you have a problem. You need to make phone calls, get on-line, fillout paper work, print a shipping label, box it up, wait two weeks (if lucky), before you can get it back.

If one of an Edgun's few o-rings fail, you need two tools, an o-ring, and fifteen minutes.

Just something to keep on mind.
