What’s the best trigger upgrade for a Benjamin Disco & Fortitude?

Hi all,

I have a Benjamin Disco, and a buddy has a Fortitude. I think they have the same trigger groups?

What have you all found to be the best trigger upgrade for these rifles?

I read some old posts that said a Marauder trigger pack was better than modding the original trigger pack (2 or 3 screw mod, Super Sear, replacement brass trigger from Baker, lighter trigger return spring replacement, tweaking factory trigger spring, etc).

I believe I read that the Prod pistol trigger pack is the best replacement for the Disco / Fortitude factory unit?

Is this true?

Maybe you all know of a better idea?

TIA, DB

Cannot speak to the Fortitude but the Marauder trigger group upgrade for the Disco is the best. You'll forget about the sting of the price when you feel the difference. And be sure to remove the "lawyer spring in the Marauder trigger group. Makes a world of difference too.

+1

Just went through this a few weeks ago. I'd been considering putting a Marauder trigger on my little Disco for a very long time but couldn't ever make myself pay the price. Finally broke down and did it. Took out the lawyer spring and used some orings on the pin the spring rides on, with the premise of avoiding any slop in the parts with the spring gone. End result, very nice trigger. Very distinct first and second stage, crisp and predictable break. Everything the Disco trigger isn't.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that only the 1st generation Marauder triggers work on a Disco, but you might try to verify that somewhere.

Yup, marauder trigger by a long shot! 1st gen version & shouldn't be all that much money(? I am out of date) $45.00ish for the assembly. Now right before crosman did their "mirror" copy the same trigger group was a $260.00 target trigger, and worth it. They did as well coping what is now called the "marauder magazine", and they are good too.

Check around and see if you need to change your hammer or not ( or slot it or...) and remember to pull the trigger back when installing.

It is the setup the A-Team uses on their competition discovery's.
