I have been shooting a spring powered rifle for about 5 years now, and now I want to upgrade and get a pcp air rifle ,but not sure what the best gun out there is for the price.i would like to spend no more then $500 and I would be using it mostly for small game and some varmints.Is there any suggestions

If $500 is your total budget for gun and a way to fill it, than the Discovery would be your best bet and a great gun.

You would either need a special high pressure hand pump or a specialized compressor in one form or another. Typical shop compressors only fill to about 150psi. You need at least 3000psi and then you need a tank to hold the air. You can also just but the tank and have a local paintball or scuba shop fill it when need be for a few bucks.

Or, you can fill it with a scuba tank, of which I have one listed in the for sale section. Check it out, even if you don't go that route you can see pictures of a fill set-up.
