What To Buy ?

I’ve been into air guns for a year now. I’m ready for my second PCP. My one and only PCP is a Benjamin Prod with the Marmot Militia barrel and Neil Clague LDC. Very accurate, supper quiet. Fantastic for my backyard plinking and pesting. (Rats,mice starlings ) I will NOT be getting rid of this. But if I leave my backyard (maybe one weekend a month) I will be encountering larger pest (groundhogs) at longer distances.
So I see Kral Puncher Breakers are $400ish but used FX Wildcats are going for $800ish I’m looking at .22 cal and the bullpup configuration. I can afford an $800.00 gun but not sure I can justify the money. You know what I’m talking about.
So should I just pony up the money “buy once cry once” or will the Kral keep me satisfied and not wanting more? I’m also open to other manufacturer suggestions.

I have a Kral PB and it is fairly accurate, but it will not compete with any FXWildcat . I would highly suggest you get the wildcat. The most accurate gun, I own, is the Daystate Huntsman Regal. Its is a beautiful air gun , but if I had to do it over, I would have bought the FX Wildcat. Good luck on your choice.

Buy what you think you can afford and be happy you are spending the money for something tangible. There's worse things in life to throw money at.

get the fx rifle in 25.maybe look for a good used streamline ine 25.they shoot great straight out of the box.

Never ever “under-buy”!

Eventually you will want to upgrade and the resale on the FX will be higher than a less expensive pcp. In other words...spend more so you will lose less when the next gun out becomes an obsession.

It’s a “sickness”, don’t fight it.

Go with a 25 caliber and it's a toss up on which one. I have a kral puncher in 22 and it's super accurate out to 100 yards. It's a 1st generation and yes i did some modifications to it. I ported it, did some valve work and polished the barrel. It's right at moa at 100 with the 18 gr jsb at 900 fps. I love my kral it's a solid gun for the money. Next year I am looking at some adjustability though and will be considering the new rti prophet

I dont know about the puncher breaker but I have experience with the wildcat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. .25 can be tuned to shoot the JSB 34gr to 900+ fps like a laser.

Buy what you think you can afford and be happy you are spending the money for something tangible. There's worse things in life to throw money at.

Buy-once-cry-once is usually cheaper... that is, if the more expensive rifle is the one you are lusting after.
