I use an Donny emperor 2 on my tac haven’t noticed barrel droop but it is insanely quiet I also have a ronin and tanto. However my dream lite compact is loud with out a mod, surprisingly loud for its power level but then again my only experience is Edgun and tiapans... the tanto works well and ronin even better I believe depending on your needs a sumo or tatsu would be enough. Just my experience oh mine is .22 ...

The holy trinity of noise suppression is: 1) Expansion 2) Delay 3) Absorption

Sounds simple enough, but remove any of the three elements from a rapidly expanding gas and dB's will go up dramatically. Further, in suppressors physical size makes a big difference in dB output.

Personally, I own a DonnyFL Shogun...and I use it on a pcp pistol, All his larger suppressors have been able to handle every pcp I mounted on them. These things don't wear out, can be moved from gun to gun, so I respectfully suggest buying the best you can afford. And...as always, if you want serious silence, go big or go home!

I watched a video on YouTube about SIG announcing at 2020 SHOT show a 3D printed suppressor to be released this year. (firearms.) Very interesting technology. When I was in the market for a suppressor someone on this forum offered me a 3D printed suppressor. I didn’t buy it because I ordered a Weihrauch. I think a printed suppressor might be great for weight and sound reduction.

I have been using DonnyFL Koi & Tanto almost exclusively. Had the Sumo, but sold it because the smaller models are smaller and offer good enough suppression for my needs. I also use a Weihrauch on my Taipan, again, good enough, not silent, but the noise is negligible as is with the others.

It also depends, I use mine straight up on the barrels, no shroud. If I install the shroud on the Veteran & add any LDC, my breathing is louder.

I had the STO moderator core for my Leshiy, and it worked quite a bit better than the stock mod. When I get another PCP I want to try this:

It's roughly the same size as the Sumo, but incorporates expansion, delay AND absorption into it's design. If you want some fantastic reading about developing moderators for airguns, check out their blog.
