Unfortunately money does matter to me so I try to find the best I can get at a somewhat decent price (which is why I have been using SWFA for so long). I'm not about to use a UTG Bugbuster (not that it's a bad scope) on the Leshiy though, it deserves better! I think I will get a Leupold Freedom VX 3-9x33 EFR. They run around $300 (less at Optics Planet with a coupon code or sale) and if they are as good as the old VX-2 EFR then it should be a winner. 9x is mag. enough for the ranges I will be shooting.

Just ordered the Leupy? Now I have an excuse to get a Leshiy. Can't have a spare scope just sitting on the shelf! Any recommendations for mounts? I have been using UTG PRO rings on all my bull pups and they really are awesome rings so m aybe just grab a set in 1"? Very solid and the plate on the base is spring loaded so when you loosen the torx screw the plate stays pushed out making it easy to put the scope back on the gun without the mount bases flopping all over the place and getting in the way. I never realized how much I would like the feature until I used it.

I had a Hawke 2-7x32 mil-dot reticle on my P-rod a few years back and it was a very nice scope for a good price.

Hi Tweeter No the SWFA is fixed parallax , but is is clear for me because of it is low power scope , I just want to get a better optic for it , as mine is defective , it tracks and shoots fine however I put it on a .308 rifle , prior and , this is kind of weird but their is an insect leg stuck on the inside of lens from the kick it stuck to it lol , I got to send it to swfa to clean it , I like swfa scopes for pcp guns , but leshiy needs a shorter scope , but with swfa my favorites are the 20x , the 3x15 ffp and the 5x20 ffp all in milquad,, thanks for input

For close quarters shooting up in trees, I like the Hawke 2-7x32 AMX reticle. Only downside is that it is a SFP with a 10x based reticle so subtention is not true at any mag setting. Just need to map and memorize via ChairGun.

For everything else, I love the vortex viper 2-10x32 FFP Mil/Mil. I have it in both the gen1 and 2 versions. Good Leshiy scopes out past 100 yards.

jwrabbit123 sent you a new message: “scopes” “HI i see u posted in my leshiy scope thread did u ever order from optics trader eu and are u from usa? i see they had a ior crusader for 2300 when in usa they 3600 are they for real ? also wow minox scope cost more then my best scope the sbpm2 5×25 wow i never heardof them explain more please what lens they use? do u own any , have u tracked them ?”

Hi jwrabbit123.
You ask some questions.
1. Yes I have ordered from Opticks trader eu, and other different traders abroad (I live in Norway), but not all are willing to ship to private customers in Norway for some reason. So therefore I use my local dealer Vertebrae, (Translating: getting better) and they get what I want. But there is a "waiting factor" involved.....

2. IOR Crusader, IOR Recon and IOR Pitbull are some of the scopes Vertebrae have provided for me from/via Valdada. These are top notch scopes, a bit heavy, but will last a lifetime, and you do not get any better out there in my opinion. Well, the Minox ZP8 with the MR 10+ reticle (NB!) may be the exception, and for the Leshiy that would be my absolute choice, or the IOR Pitbull. Both would be excellent for the Leshiy. Myself I use those two for my FX Ranchero upgraded pistols. (one in 27 ftp). The Crusader is perfect for my Royale .25, and the Impact loves the Recon. Some may say overkill scopes for an air rifle, but if you have a passion, you do not get killed easily.

How about the Athlon scopes? I do have some of those because of the FFP-choices. But to compare with the above mention the Cronus is the only one that can stand tall. I have that on top of my Wildcat .22. It is a bit large for the little WC, but I do not walk around in the woods with this rig.

Tracking? You mean the Joe W. Rea gymnastics? No problem my friend, and if IOR sent him one of their scopes for testing I think he would be in heaven for a while.

Sorry, this was more than you asked for, but there is a saying that the scope value should be at least the double of the gun`s price - so why not triple it?
