I had a Midas BTR 1-6x24 and thought very highly of it, especially the reticle which is superior to most of these kind of scopes. It was no problem making hits on steel out to 675 yards on 6x with my shorty AR/223 using the reticle for holdovers, or when I dialed the solution.
It doesn't have daylight bright illumination and like most of these 1-?'s it lacks adjustable parallax.
I find my Burris XTR2 1-8 FFP isn't that much better of a scope. I bought it because it does have daylight bright illumination and I like 8x for long range.
If money were no object my preference is the March 1-10 with adjustable parallax the most of any of these type of scopes.
