What Scope for the Leshiy?

This is the number 1 question I seem to get when a person purchases a Leshiy. Since the gun came out I have asked Ed to offer a scope for the gun. The Leshiy sits in its own class without the support that other guns get in terms of scope options. It is built kind of like a mini AR-15 and as such many of the scopes that would fit an AR fit a Leshiy but they all lack one major feature; parallax adjustment. I have had some experience with Russian scope companies and I have found many of them to be hidden gems in terms of price for the quality. My first experience was with The Dragunov sniper rifle equipped with the PSO-1 (Прицел Снайперский Оптический) I had to have one of these rifles because Rambo had one in III. Anyway, the scope was amazing. This prompted me to ask Ed for an all Russian set up, gun and scope. The journey for Ed started more than a year ago, he traveled to Moscow to discuss with the Dedal company about a dedicated Leshiy scope. After a few prototypes, the Stalker was born; a scope built for a purpose. The scopes will be offered soon and will fit well on both the Leshiy and new Lelya 2.0 This scope had a very forgiving eye box and a huge field of view. Very easy to shoot with both eyes open. The turrets and reticle are both in milliradians with a reticle value

The new EDgun scope is definitely a winner. I got to look through it today when I picked up my r5 .30 from Brian at EDgun West. It's very light and to me it reminds me of an ACOG. It's eye box is HUGE and so quick to get behind. FOV is also really wide. I think the best comparison I can make to the new scope would be an ACOG or the Vortex Razor gen 2 1-6x at 6x. Glass was really clear and it focuses down to like 10 yards (I believe that's what I read on the markings).

Airgunnerca: I think it's body is from an NV unit. The body tube looks like it would hold an intensifier tube in there, hence the large battery compartment.

Honestly I think if I bought the scope I probably wouldnt even put in batteries. The reticle is well thought out... it's thick enough to see easily but thin enough for some precision shots. Even in hunting situations shooting into shadows wouldn't be much of a problem for the reticle. I'd rather just save the weight of the batteries and not put them in period.

Couldn’t figure out what the battery tube is for ? Does it Only Serve the purpose of illumination ?

In the US, EDgun West is the only dealer you could buy it from as far as I know. I would choose the Dedal Stalker over the Vortex 1-6 due to the parallax being adjustable under 10 yards. Dedal did a good job on setting up their parallax knob which is located on the top making it ambidextrous. I also like that the parallax is adjustable by clicks. For ambush hunting, it works out great because if you have 2 distances you are scanning between, you can count the clicks to have it in focus right away.
