What scope are you running on your Leyla

I have two Lelyas. Love the platform.

I have a Dedal Stalker on the .177. It is a fixed 6X with a great reticle. It has decent holdover subtensions. 100 yard rabbit heads are OK with this optic, but it is a little light on magnification for squirrels and birds at that distance. It is great 70 and in. Probably my absolute favorite optic for pesting. This one is used primarily in barns, stalls and for close stuff on farm properties. Tuned this one for lighter 10-13 grain slugs. Will tune for the 177 Hades when available.

I have a Stalker on my .177 Matador as well. It is tuned for 15.5 grain slugs. I am going to tune it to the lighter slugs when I deplete the 15.5s.

I have an NX8 on the .25. Even though my .177 shoots slugs well and is very accurate at long range, the momentum of the .25 25.4s does a much better job on pests at longer range. The 20X and perfect tracking of the turrets make the NX8 a really nice option. It is shorter than most in this category. The A109 Mount keeps it nice and low to the barrel. This setup works very well. This is an incredibly versatile setup tuned for 850 fps.

Let us know what you decide.

I contacted Charlie at Airgun Optics Plus and settled on a Discovery 4X16X44 compact scope for the Leyla. I was able to sight it in at 50 yards last week and the groupings were great. Glass is not as clear as the Leupold I had on it, but the extra magnification is a must. Hope to get it out as soon as the rain leaves. I know a higher end scope will bring in more light like on my powder burners, but I wanted something inexpensive to try out on the Leyla before I go all in on a scope.

I keep seeing these references to Vortex scopes..., Razor HD LHT 3-15x42 and Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 above. 🤔

Sorry, but my airgunning must be different from yours, because I need a 10 yard minimum parallax, 20y isn't going to do it.... 🤔

A scope that costs me 450 dollars (Diamondback) must have 10y parallax. Now, a 1,400 dollar scope (Razor)....

Bushnell Accelerate 4x Prism Scope works great out to 70 yards. I have one on my .20 Lelya gen1. Probably don’t want to go much further than that anyway unless you’re into mortars. ;)

@centercut I laughed at this comment for at least a day. 😅 I am curious, are you seriously unable to take longer shots (past 70 yards) with it if you tune it differently? I’m also wondering why some airgunners prefer fixed magnification scopes for these compact bullpups. Is the done primarily for quick offhand shooting so that they’re are few, if any, adjustments necessary before taking a shot?

I have a deposit on a .25 Lelya now. I am either getting the US Optics TS-12X at 18.11oz, parallax to 10y, if I can live with no illumination (actually use it a lot less then I thought I would on my other rifles), or the MTC 10x30 Atom. Never had the MTC type scope before, but I rarely run lower magnifications, so this could be the best solution. Leaning to the MTC.
