what positions you like to shoot from

I shoot from a bench when I am tuning a rifle or shooting extreme range or testing scopes or doing ballistics , but to practice shooting I prefer to

shoot prone for extreme ranges , I do some free hand , some shooting sticks some sitting and some using slings and trees , I like to know how I can shoot in all positions ranges and angles, I also vary distances , and I prefer to practice in windy days and different weather conditions

I shoot from prone with a tight sling whenever practical, and with a Creedmore Hardback coat. I tend to like this sort of position even from a bench ---"bench prone".

Sitting crossed legged is my next preferred position.

However, with springers, that sling is only wrapped around my hand and not connected in any way to the rifle. It's not quite as steady, but it's still pretty good.

ju:

not one yet I need find a field away from people and houes ju there called bullets soon later I will test fire it long with pine boards 11/2 to test lethal of the gun

Passing through a 3/4" pine board was the old army test to be considered a lethal shot. My .30 impact fires through 1 1/2" boards with ease. Also shot through one goat's head and one goat's lungs exiting the far side.
