what pellets for the Crosman 2300s paper targets

Will receive my Crosman 2300S some time tomorrow (UPS)

What pellets will this model like best? (Comes with the .177 Cal Lothar Walther 10.1" Barrel of course).

Will be practicing 10 Meter Target shooting. (I know wad cutters are recommended, but which ones are the best fit for this barrel?

Trying to save myself many hours of testing.

RWS Meisterkugeln 7.0gr seem just as good as the R10 lights and even the cheap RWS Basics do well. Crosman Wadcutters are ok too but the RWS give smaller hole in hole groups. Vogel are supposed to be the best but haven't tried them yet in mine.

Assuming you want the most accurate wadcutters, you can reduce "many hours of testing" to just a few by testing only RWS, H&N and JSB match-grade wadcutters.

I had more trouble finding pellets that loaded correctly. I had to recut the taper and polish the lead in before anything but pointed pellets would chamber up easily. You're putting a .177 pellet into a semicircle that is .225 diameter. Pointing the muzzle upwards helps with the loading procedure.

No idea on your particular gun, but my LW barrel in my 1701P likes just about anything. My absolute tightest groups came with the RWS miesterkugein Wadcutters. I don't have any R1os to try, I also had amazing results in any of the JSB Exacts (Heavy's probably edged out the others by a smidge)

Mins shoots better than I can with Crosman wadecutters. i like the pistol but my old eyes just don’t do it justice.
