What is your Reg Pressure?

What is your reg set at for a .22 Crown? I have a .177 Crown but I am thinking about going .22 for longer range pesting. Currently I’m at 120 bar and after maxing out the hammer adjustment I got 806 FPS average with the 16.20 gr JSB beast on 177/22. I tried switching it to the .25/.30 but only got a 27 FPS increase. This is a little to slow for my liking. Share your set up, I am interested to see what people have. Anything and everything is welcomed !!

Things to consider (if you want to help me out):

i want to shoot the JSB 15.89 Gr so I can go back to .177 when I please.

I am getting a 500 mm barrel. (Same length as .177 barrel)

i am looking for low 900’s.

My impact 25 cal reg pressure 150 bar and shoot 25 gr kings 1030fps and 34gr heavy 930fps.

With a 500mm barrel and wanting to push a 15.89 gn pellet that fast . You are going to lose efficiency ( less shots per fill) in comparison . I would start at 130 bar and go up from there . I leave my impact at 150 , can shoot 18.1 gn pellets up to 1090 FPS and a 30gn slug to 890 FPS .

Not to hijack the thread but how is one to know a good efficient reg pressure?

I have a .22 Royale 400 with Huma reg which, I believe, is set around 140 bar, can't remember for sure. I'm getting around 880 with the JSB 18. Haven't chrono tested the 16, but it calculates to around 920 fps based on fpe produced with the 18.

2+ year Impacter. Having played up and down, I keep my 25 @ 130 shooting 34g @ 870. Too much air and there go the seals. If you can attain desired accuracy without over stressing your gun, that would be my advice.

On upping from 177 to 22 for pesting,, are you going slug barrel.?

When it shoots straight! Accuracy, not speed, is the desired effect.

Daystate Wolverine "R" in 177 at 150 bar and it stays that way all the way, without moving, until the tank pressure goes lower than the regulator setting of 150.
