Please tell us all about the one in this pic please... looks interesting.

I have a gen 2 FX Impact in .25, 1 shot stops on squirrels with power level turned down. I'm always concerned with shooting through squirrels and doves. Quiet in the yard. Great shot count when pesting in yard and good count with full power hunting. Have not had any problems yet. Good on raccoons. .25 JSBs are economical, accurate, small and light enough to carry a lot and not be a "drag". I recently added the 700mm smooth twist X barrel with shroud and the 26 count extended magazine purchased through Utah air guns. Impact seems a little quieter cause, with the longer barrel I turn the power level down even more. The Impact was accurate with the 600mm barrel and is still accurate with the 700mm barrel. I seldom have need of long distance shooting, I have to travel back to the farm for that and haven't since installing the 700mm brl. I wish the makers of the pellet pen would make a .25 pellpen. I use them to load all my .22 guns especially the FX magazines. No fumbling or dropping pellets in the field. I use a mounted light and a fixed 4X bug buster for night racoons and switch to a 3-9X for day time. Don't seem to have the raccoon problem since federal wildlife convinced a neighbor lady it was illegal to feed wildlife in her yard with a large tub of moist dog food and allow them to nest in her basement so the 4X is on the shelf for now. I like the gun. I keep it next to the door when I'm home and hide it when I'm not. Also I've had good luck with all the major dealers for sales and service, AoA, Utah, Airgun depot, Pyramyd,Randy in Colorado springs, co. Shoe box compressor, and Joe B( never remember his last name) who sells the best and safest bottles, tanks, gauges, hoses and valves. I have personally seen what 200 psi steam will do to a straw broom or stick let alone 3000psi air ( shoot a little air into your flesh then stop the bleeding and look for blood clots). I willingly spend a little more money for my safety. Well that's enough out of me. Good Shooting!

As far as "the" most impressive industry wide PCP I can only speak to the ones I have experience with. As much as I love my FX's I've only been shooting the oldest one less than a year and so far so good, however I've been shooting this Rapid 12 for almost 15 years. What makes it impressive? From new this gun has only been resealed two times and the second time it wasn't leaking I just has it updated for the RAW quick fill adapter, this gun would sit for weeks or months sometimes, I used it to protect bluebirds from English sparrows, POI would be "dead" on from the last shooting session, the gun has shot so many impressive groups (and sparrows) I could wallpaper my house, it gets over 120 shots, 940/968 JSB 13.78's ( it shoots CP's even better), NEVER had ANY mechanical issues with the gun or two original mags, the bore is super smooth two wet and one dry patch bore is clean, fit is finish still perfect, the gun is built to last several lifetimes, Theoben's are desirable guns I would consider it a "classic, this gun will out shoot my FX's off the bench, the first day shoot in July 2004 this gun printed a 7/16 50yd group with a "rookie" shooter at the trigger, (I still have that group) buddy of mine shot it, I witnessed, sub 1/2" 60yd groups, conditions permitting, is another day at the office. I have evolved beyond "heavy bottle" type guns, I won't refer to this as a negative it is what it is, I'm into light bullpup type guns now and I don't shoot the Rapid much any more, I want to see what it will do with the new JSB (.020) pellets when they

come out, than I will be converting it into a "bullpup"! Impressive?

ummmmmmmmmmm...since i have only two PCP's, i'd have to say i favor the

Airforce Talondor and Benjamin Marauder.

both are easy to work on, adjustable power and highly accurate at all ranges out to 70 yards. (i normally shoot no farther than that)

both tend to be a little 'picky' of pellets they shoot accurately.

i have not done extensive mods to either but have done some basic changes.

right now, i will stick with them as they meet my "wants"...

Wow, some new guns I haven't heard about.....Like to know who makes that Spider 92 semi/automatic and see a review!

I think the most revolutionary PCP gun (that I know of) is the Huben K1. I am buying one as soon as the factory amo is widely available (It shoots slugs with amazing 1.8 BC, is semi auto, has unique valve system that is superior to traditional PCP type for air management. It makes semi-auto slug-guns practical. trajectory is flat as a pancake, with near super sonic muzzle velocities. 22 cal energy on par with most 30 cals.

These guns, that I still own, I used to think were the greatest:

FX Impact in 25 and 30 cal. but find it complex/problematic....too many parts/things to fail....don't buy it unless you need multi calibre tuning ease.

Daystate .303 Hi-lite (Wolverine), beautiful/traditional good looks......but only has 5 shot mag and uses a lot of air.... not quiet. Newer model with side lever and regulator is up there with the best.

DAQ .50 cal, great for bigger game hunting, high energy, great fun.....but single loaded/no mag, only 5 shots on a fill, very loud.
