What is the max fpe of the Kalibrgun Carabine .22 ?

I don't know, that's asking quite a lot for a .22 to shove a 25 grain Monster along at 900 fps … but I just chronographed my Cricket slinging a 34 grain MK2 at 925 fps after a power tune by Charlie at Georgia Airguns.

My Kral bullpup can do it... and for $1000 less, just sayin... I'm still going to buy a cricket but better be able to pull 45fpe 😅

The .22 Cricket Carbine can be tuned to shoot the 25.39 RD Monsters at 900 fps for about 24 shots on a 240 bar fill. This is without adding a plenum tube and with reg set to 140 bar.

I just tuned one and decided to lower the power from 900 fps to 880 fps to get at least 32 shots on a fill from 240 bar and reg now set to 136 bar. The gun shoots these pellets very well.

With my configuration, for example, a 17.7" barrel would limit my fps with the 33.95's to 860~, where as a 21.26" barrel would limit my fps to roughly 922 fps, a difference of 60~ fps.

Alternatively you could run 25 bar higher reg pressure or 350~ psi more and obtain the same results on the 17.7" barrel in my configuration, but as Charlie pointed out you'd lose a lot of head room for shot count, but there is always more than one way to skin a cat. Although I would much prefer the longer barrel option. YMMV

I finally got around to running my power tuned .22 Cricket pup with extended plenum over the chrony a few days ago. I'm very pleased and it read just a little better than what Derrick said it would do. Had the 25 grain RD monsters zinging along at 894 fps and the 18 gr were flying outta that barrel at 994 fps.

Surprisingly the 18 gr are laser accurate at such a high speed inside 55 yds? They don't spiral till they get stretched out towards the 100 yd mark.

Still hard to beat at 55 yds which is usually as far as I shoot.

18 gr on left .....25 gr on right at 55 yds. Dent at top of each five shot group is point of aim

The first 4 shots with the 18 gr went in that small hole

Ive also had great results with those 18s at or over 1000fps, this is at 1050 at 100m. Even if it isnt quite as accurate maybe as below 1000 but sure is fun.

Awesome guns guys!

....I advise against 1k+ fps due to the rapid increase of lead accumulation in the barrel, but if its what suits you than have at it! Its not a big deal to clean the barrel more often...if you achieve laser accuracy at those speeds within the intended range you shoot then thats even better! Just note that there are HUGE diminishing returns when comparing efficiency of air usage over fpe obtained the more air you push down the barrel, but if thats of no concern, nor is long range stability, then to each their own! Kudos
