What is the best scope out there ?

In my opinion the Vortex Viper FFP 3-15x44 is tops : ; the model number is PST-1358. The glass is so sharp and clear, it focuses down to 20 yards, has zero stop turrets, in mil-rad, turrets and reticle, and is not huge like some comparable scopes. I just scored one for myself, and after my buddy looked through it he ordered one for himself. It tracks spot on and has good solid clicks with the turrets. I'm loving it so much, I would like another one. PS it' has an illuminated reticle if you need one.

"hvack"March scopes do look awesome . For that kind of money you would think they could be lighter.
Their scopes are among the lightest off the high-end brands..

I love my March scope! Have another one (3-24x42) is on it's way, going on my Steyr.

"jps2486"Sightron S3. Personally, I like these better than March scopes. Optical clarity is as good and eyebox is more generous. The price is less than half.
I own a couple of both - the two brands being my favorite, all things considered. The SIII is nice, but it’s not March nice, not even close. A 3-24x52 w/ the thin FMA-2 is about the best you could ask for on an Airgun. It parallaxs down to 10 yards, it’s about 12” long and weighs in at about 24 ounces (don’t quote me, I’m going off memory).

The smallest SIII (the only III that will parallax down to 10) isn’t 1st focal and is only 3-10. It is nice, I have it on my Regal.

The Sightron 6-24s FFPs are best in class for the money, but they are larger, heavier and, again, not March glass nice. IMO, Sightron’s reticles are also pretty plain and a tad thick.

Lastly , a comparable March is closer to 3-4x the price of Sightron, not double.
