what is the best lens for gopro 7 BLACK

Hi guys,



I have never messed around with lens in my life before so I really need help. Someone who replaced the lens for 7 black will be great. I already have a side shot mount. 

I ordered gopro 7 black and I want to know what is the good lens I need to buy for gopro so that I can shoot videos through side shot mount? I have a nightforce scope and I am currently using my iphone to make videos. I noticed that it is a hassle to work with phone in cold weather as at my place it is -10F these days

Haji,



I got the GOPRO 5-6-7 lens 4K M12 1/2.3” 12MM and when I put it in my goprol 7 black, it focuses but only at 5 inches. Anything nearer then 5 inches, it won't focus. I tried to thread in and out the lens but no luck. 

What I am doing wrong?

May be my understand is wrong. I am thinking that if the lens is close to object, it should be very focus and clear with the new lens. Just like in the Haji video where the Joker is almost touching the lens and it is focus. 

My problem is that it is not focusing at all when lens is near the object and it is only one thread in and almost trying to fall out. If I thread it further in, the focus distance increases.



What I am missing or misunderstanding here?

Try to tighten the lens,nothing will happen to him. The lens will only work with your scope.

Adjust the brightness by placing it in your side shot holder. And observe the brightness on the gopro screen.Rotate the lens until the image is bright.

Thanks for the advises, I am getting closer and I can see through the side shot now. I still need to fix the focus issues and I am working on it. 

Have a question about the settings in gopro 7. Can someone please tell me what settings I should keep in the gopro for sharp images with focus?

The settings do not affect the brightness of your image.
