What is the Best Garage Gun? Take a look. Beeman P-17

Actually in y eye a very nice little pistol tho I had the "marksman2002" ( think that was it) . Walmart had 4 of them for $15.00 each & I had NO idea what it really was but needed one. Test fired it and went right back to purchase the rst of them which were naturally gone.

This is the rig I use as a chrony checker as it was just SO consistent, groups were better than I can shoot a pistol. And easy to repair. The pistol the misses would grab if a mouse or such showed, and 1 shot would be all.

Just a great pistol all around which I had again forgot all about, may need another one now.

Basement shooting is great, and one of the great things about air guns....I would bet I shoot more in the winter...great way to stay sharp.

Personally I am a rifle shooter, but these pistols are great as well....some real fantastic options we have out here.

I have had some medical work done on me, and am trying to get to where I can go prone again....all the same rules apply.

Toys4life this is a great topic. The P-17 was one of the best Christmas gifts that I ever gave to several friends and relatives. What a fun Christmas it was. I agree with all of your sentiments about the P-17.

Lately I've been shooting my Daisy 717 in the shop. I bought my 717 back in the early 80s. It's a side lever, one cock 10 meter target pistol. I watched a buddy who shot 1911 competition for the army beat guys shooting pistols with +$1000 price tags whose name I couldn't pronounce at a 10 meter competition with his Daisy 717. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the response! I looked up the Daisy 717 after reading this. Seems like a nice quality piece but it looks like it is now only available as a match grade around $200. Makes sense as it is hard for me to see how anyone can make a profit selling something of this quality for less than $100.

Wow! I wasn't aware the Daisy 717 had increased in price so much. I bought mine back in the day for $50. I just replaced the seals on it after 35 years and it now shoots as good as new. The guys I gave the Beeman P-17 as Christmas presents to about 5 years ago still shoot theirs and it's remarkable at what a great air pistol it is for under $30.
