I am interested in getting a springer after first getting a pcp. What would most consider the most accurate springer you can buy? What is best bang for buck springer with good accuracy? Thanks
Most accurate , if your not talking new then the FWB300 no doubt to my thinking . New guns ......It would be hard to question SFX list . I'd probably include the HW97 in the mix somewhere .. But it is hard to top a new AirArms . They are in a single word Beautiful . I would probably say easiest to shoot accurately is the HW30/Beeman R7 . That's just been my experience
Thanks for the feedback so far! Do any of the guns listed have aftermarket ways to improve the guns? Do these rifles listed have any room for improvements or is there no need to go there?
All have tune kits available .Whether you " need" one is a matter of choice . I prefer tune kits in my guns for a more solid feel . But in the nice guns they are pretty good to go as is
I am a tinkerer and will look for any way to improve something so I am a candidate for a tune kit. Can you tell me more about what is tuned or improved and what can I expect to pay for it. I am leaning toward a AA TX 200 because of the reports I have seen about the trigger.
Look up Tune kits online..I but some stuff from ARH they have good prices and ship fast !! The TX is one of those guns every airgunner needs on their bucket list ! Tunes usually take away spring twang and can either speed them up , or tune them down for less recoil and a little more forgiving . Just depends what your looking for .
I've posted this picture of my TX 200 before it is easy to shoot and its still stock.
this is a picture from a couple of months ago when I was looking for its favorite pellet.(it shot this group with diabolo field heavy 10.3grains) that day a slight breeze from left to right at 45 yards. up too 50 yards it seems to hit what I aim at and I've not really shot it at a longer distance but I am planning on playing with it at longer distances just to see what it will do?
It has done better than this group but I now shoot 20 to 40 shot groups.
I guess I should also show that I was too lazy to get out one of my fancy rests. So a rifle case and a poptart box helped with that group
Mine is a Beeman R11 (HW98). It out shoots my TX200 and I have a bunch of other top spring rifles it out shoots. That said my HW30S can flat shot at reasonable distances.
