What is an alternative to the Daisy 747?

I noticed the other day that Pyramyd Air no longer has the 747. Bummer, it was on my "maybe some day" list. When I searched Daisy 747 the link to PA suggest the Air Venturi V10.

I read that they were discontinued, so you’d best look for a used one, I guess. I have one I I have not used it since 2013. When it arrived, new in box, it was losing pressure. I sent it to daisy and they fixed it, saying that it is a common issue for that model when it sits on a shelf for 10 years before someone buys it. Not sure if mine still works.

Maybe look at an FAS or a Sig. You might have better results if you post this on Target Talk forum.

Yes. Target Talk is an excellent resource for Olympic shooting sports. That is where I got turned on to the Daisy 747, then the Baikal IZH 46M, and now the Steyr LP10 that I currently use. I would be willing to part with the 747, but I’m not sure if our forum rules permit us to vend outside if the classifieds section, so let’s just PM about that please. I will send you a PM. For the record though, you might be better off getting one at Target Talk from people who know what they are doing and have maintained it properly. Target Talk is hosted by Pilkington Competition, which has serviced my Steyrs. They sometimes have used equipment for sale. You might try calling or emailing them them to see and also ask if they can service one if needed.

You could try a HW40 which would be in the same league as the Daisy Avanti 747 (I own both). Neither one has good grips, but you can probably replace the grips on the Daisy, but not really an option with the Hw40. I enjoy shooting the HW40 more because I don't like the plastic bolt on the Daisy (hasn't been an issue, just feels wrong). AoA warranties the HW for life, which is where I purchased mine.

Forgot to mention, though, that the HW40 requires more force to pump...should probably try one first.
