Hello,
I have a .177 Daystate Wolverine 2. (non-regulated) I have tried JSB 10.34, 8.44, FX 10.3, H&N FTT, H&N Baracuda Match. About the best group I can get is between 3/8 and 1/2" rested at 30 yards. Does this seem reasonable or should the groups be tighter? I feel like at 30 yards, there should be one hole a bit larger than the pellet itself, but that is just not happening. There is nothing I have found for tuning on this rifle, and it shoots the 10.3 grain JSB's at 910 fps. I would like to try a harmonic tune, but I don't see any way to adjust the hammer spring.
I have cleaned the bore and have polished the bore with JB bore paste. My scope is a Vortex Diamondback Tactical, and I set it to 16x for field target. It seems like a decent scope, and the reticle is sharp, so I don't think the scope is at fault.
Any ideas on what I could try to improve this, or is this as good as it gets? I'd like to use this rifle for field target competition, but this seems as a disadvantage to me.
Thanks!
Mike
