What in Tarnation…,

I find it interesting to hear a Filipino from California use an Appalachian euphemism for hell (tarnation).

Ha Ha!!! I guess you’ve never been to a Pilipino karaoke, lol. Most played songs are Sinatra’s “strangers in the night” and Neil Diamonds “song sung blue”!!! LOL! All words used, but with flair-

Im saying it like TAR NA CHON, or how’s this- shot string from my EP EX CRONO-GRAP

Glad, you got it dialed! That’s awesome!

Now load up your stuff, pick up Dennis and get over here in the near future! Alex and Coop said to bring a hundred dollars worth of quarters too. They’re both feeling cocky but haven’t been practicing much! Might be a great lesson for them to get “schooled” and lose some money. 😳 That’ll get them practicing seriously again. They’ve just been busy with school, football, basketball & now girls! Plus, it’s getting dark so early we hardly have any time to shoot when I get home in the evening.

I’m at our range now but can’t seem to hit anything. Decided to take a break, finish my coffee, check AGN and “reset” before going at it again.

Have a good one buddy!

P.S. since we’re dissecting your post…What in Tarnation? Wasn’t that Yosemite Sam that always said that on Saturday morning cartoons? Circa 1977. 😂😂 Oh man, we’re getting old!

Another good post ,love reading the thread and feedback. The joking around is the best,,those are fantastic numbers, 2 questions ,

Are you using the stock FX regulator?

The BIG RAGU is that a reference to sitcom show Laverne and Shirley?

Thanks for the info on the batteries

Yes on the factory reg.

Funny thing is I bought the gun a bit over a year ago from precision Airguns out of Michigan. It was originally an early MK2, pre power plenum model. It sat as new in their used gun rack collecting dust. It came set at 125 bar and I’ve left it there this whole time as it was a good setting for 25 cal for use in high power like I originally planned for it.

As far as the Bigragu, that name stuck with me since high school, the day after The Laverne snd Shirley made their first debut show. I came into my art class and I sat across this dude that always came to class stoned, and when everyone started talking about the new L&S show the stoner kid yelled out “you FFFF’NNN look like CARMYNE, THE BIGRAGU!”

Stuck since. He must’ve been really stoned as I don’t see the resemblance-

FYI, and it drives my wife crazy when I start wondering about common terms. So guess what, yes that's right I google them.

The root of “tarnation” is “darnation,” a euphemistic modification of the word “damnation,” which at that time was considered unfit for polite conversation. “

There ya have it in case you didn't know.

jk

I figure if ya had to look it up, ya ain't a Texas! LOL!!! ;<)

OK, ya caught me. I grew up in the first line of mountains that start the appellations in N. Alabama. :<)

Trans planted to Texas 45 years ago. Still miss the hills and all those squirrels. Only killed 34 this year so far here in Texas. The scorpion hinting at night with my pcp piston and a black light is fantastic!

Did I just see MotorHead post he is now shooting slugs? Well, will wonders never cease! I'll be darned! ;<)

How in "L" ya do'n Big? ;<)

Having an issue with My Uragan. It shoots any slug sized for it well, any pellet. Man, this thing is boring! I put an FX barrel in the Raptor, Maybe (If anyone could just get one of the CZ barrels) and put it in an Impact, Now that would be Some Gun!!!

Born in Dumas knife and currently live just about five miles into NM. Actually heading to Lubbock in a few minutes. Got lots of kin folk in Tejas. If you heard me speak in person you'd know my roots are nearby, lol

@bigragu, I always thought or believed that a low ES and SD would equate to good accuracy on paper in theory anyway. Maybe the current speed is the issue? Curious as to what accuracy standard you're aiming for and at what range?

Shooting for(pun intended) hole in hole at 40 provided I do my part. At least 75-80%. Once that’s achieved and only then, that I add 10 yards to it. Hopefully if I find the accuracy I’m looking for it’ll be around Xmas and I’ll at least be out to 80 yards and proficient at that range.

With the shot string you see here, I’m averaging around nickel sized groups at 40, with a flier in the mix. Great for hunting accuracy, but that’s not what I’m looking for in this gun.

Ive got the impact dialed in with 25 cal. all the way out to 65 yards with groups around at 3/8” for the majority of targets, then stopped there and decided to change to 30 cal. I started experimenting with tiny increments of indexing of the barrel along with different liner twist rates.

So that 91 shot spread would’ve been even more tighter and closer to 925-927 for most of it but a change in barrel twist rate gave me the 944’s to upper 930’s. For the first 35 or 40 something shots I was at a 5 FPS ES.
Hopefully I’ll have time before my house gets swarmed with family, in which I can start from like 875 FPS and work up from there to find the best accuracy
