My originals measured 1” from the top of the dove tail to the bottom of the scope tube, if that makes sense. I liked that in terms of cheek weld / eye placement, but I really like to push my cheek down on the stock in a more “tactical” weld as opposed to a more “traditional” weld. I have tried to shoot other people’s rifles and can’t stand it because the scope feels way too high for me.
Now I am using some adjustable ones from Sun Optics to compensate for barrel droop, which was so bad I almost ran out of elevation with my original rings at only 50 yards. The Sun Optics ones are cheap, and also adjustable for windage, but they are a little tricky. I would recommend the FX no limits rings.
