What have you done with your airgun today?

First time hearing a Huggett shroud to be unsatisfactory. Does it have a 7 inch baffled and felt aluminum hair curler lined vented LDC at the end and more vents closest to the breech? Something surely doesn't sound right!

I’m surprised myself, it is as you described and wow is it loud. The guys at Utah Airguns told me it’s mouse fart quiet, it is anything but mouse fart quiet.

shot a tree rat this morning while waiting impatiently for a bunch of airgun goodies to show up today!

Edit: brown Santa finally showed up!

AIM alpha 6 because if Yo! OMG! One look through the scope and I’m sold like Yo! Out standing optics!!! Turrets are good! Reticle is clear and useful! Overall shockingly good scope for under 300!

PP700 from Krale: sadly this one is a dud! Can’t take off the screw to put on the suppressor adaptor, will have to figure out what to do.

More edit: finally got the POS off and installed DonnyFL adaptor and mounted the scope. It’s is cool little thing and shoots pretty well. Might be a good poor man’s Leshiy!

...well, I decided to leave the cobbled up 15.2 oz Naked Juice bottle and duct tape silencer on the 24" "sniper" barrel on my Escape configuration, so I wrapped it in a woodland camo bandana to make it look tacticool...

...it would take quite a lot of effort to remove it at this point and it is actually effective, despite being an empty foam lined can held on with epoxy, so I do not see the percentage in removing it while it still works...

...we also set up an Amazon box stuffed with old files and paperwork to shoot targets with...got the Idea from a thread here...

...last but not least we (finally) oredered the 30 cal Shogun and adapter for the Talon P configuration...it has occurred to me that the gun has just (or will soon) become useful...!!!...

...of course, right after I did that, I noted that the more compact Sumo was back in stock...

...the 12" barrel has worked fine "out the window"...as noted elsewhere the longest shot here in the yard is 26 yards...

...before it was too loud and there was no way to "rig" a silencer like I could with the Escape/Talon barrel...

...I had thought the 24" barrel would be quieter as well as more powerful but it was not...

...I will just set the "Long Tom" set up aside for now...it is ugly, fragile, and awkward...but it works...LoL...

...when I need another 200 fps it will be waiting...now I wanna buy an Air Force slug barrel...when are they goona make one...???...

...do you think the DonnyFL Shogun on the 12" barrel will be more quite than my juice bottle on the 24"er...???... (grin)

added camo tape and tried to tune the PP700, It doesn’t like to be pushed so settled on 16 grain JSB Jades at 580 FPS. Quite accurate little gun and pretty darn quiet too (86 db of lower frequency puff) with a little hugget belita. pretty happy with it overall and great little backpack gun. Now I just need me a crow or squirrel to try it on.

Does this moderator makes me look fat? LOL

also as “what she said”....it sure looks a lot bigger in person.

So is it worth it?
the PP700 only got slightly quieter and lower tone change with the emperor, also no puff sound. According to my phones app there isn’t any change in measurable sounds level but to the ear it is quieter but nothing dramatic. It’s already 83db to begin with so not much room for improvement anyways.

the BSA ultra is extremely loud without moderator, with DonnyFL FX moderator is about 98 DB still, interestingly with Tatsu it’s 102 dB and with emperor it got down to 92 DB which is all mechanical noise, I can’t really hear any muzzle blast. As much as l like this little gun it is a little loud for backyard plinking. Debating on keeping it or not. Both the impact and the PP700 are in mid 80 DB or lower range.

tried it on my impact with 600mm 22 barrel and no difference really in sound level and very very slight lower tone. But impact is already a quiet gun so not a huge surprise there.

Try the Huggett MAGNA the BIG UN biggest one next then decide which one to sell.

thanks but think I enough moderators for now, they out number my guns by 2 right now. The emperor is part quietness and part fun, It’s Hilariously huge.

on the PP700 the little hugget my belita isn’t much louder. Moderator is very gun specific in my experience, it’s quieter on the PP700 but hella loud on my impact. Then again they tailor to sub 12 FPE UK market.

...I ended up trying a .25 Shogun on the long barreled .25 Escape configuration, pretty much the opposite of what I said I was doing...LoL...

...checked clearance...looked GTG...POI was unaffected...

...the #A31 adapter is apparently solid and true enough to prevent pellets strikes...

...one benefit of the Escape is the small tank does not require a high riser to get sight picture so there is less parallax error...

...this Naked Juice bottle was in the same league with a lower tone...I was making a joke (sort of) before, but the Naked Juice bottle didn't totally suk...far from it, considering...

...I was hoping that the Shogun would be way quieter but not exactly shocked nor bitterly disappointed that is was not...

...it was a good bit larger than the Shogun FWIW...I don't plan to sell that and put the juice bottle back...

...I noted that a you tube guy did a video on the Talon P with a Ronin and extender and behind his results considered getting an Emperor for the Escape......but didn't....

...maybe now I will...then I can set up the Talon P like I was going to in the first place...!!!...LoL...!!!...

...as you can see below I can't really afford wild flyers...in any case it was a timely demise...
