What happen to Baikal drzod from Russia???

So don't trust anything I'm about to say as I may be completely talking out my ass here, however I think the trouble started as part of the whole Russian imports ban. Around then, a lot of the IZH/Baikal toys we all know and love disappeared. This was probably one of the factors that caused Izhevsk Mechanical Plant and some associated companies to fall on hard times, which ultimately lead to their merger with Kalashnikov Concern.

I believe they've slowly started rolling out some of their old product lines. I know the IZH-46m just recently popped back up on the market. (super stoked about that) And this website claims to have new production Drozds: https://drozdworld.com/product/new-drozd-blackbird-with-full-auto-chip-installed/

So, optimistically, I think these things are slowly becoming available again although may still be a bit hard to get stateside. *shrug*

I hope all that was helpful and factually accurate. :p If you do pick up one of those Drozds, let us know how it goes, I'd kinda like one too!

They are definitely a lot of fun, and they can be souped up to shoot around 1000 fps, and up to 4000 rpm too.
It’s crazy at high power, it buzzes like a M61 Vulcan cannon and just chews stuff up.
I rarely use mine as they are quite loud and it’s instantly obvious to anyone within 200 yards that something sinister is going on lol.
The blue tape at the end of the barrel was to mount a silencer that I made out of a plastic spray bottle.
It worked quite well, but it was still totally obvious that it was a machine gun being shot.
That little bottle of air goes really fast lol, my favorite setting is a six shot burst on full power.
Six BB’s going 1000 fps as fast as you can pull the trigger, devastating for sure.
The last time I used it l noticed a group of kids who were over 150 yards away playing in a field standing in silence staring in my direction.
It’s way too dangerous to have around kids, one mistake would fill a leg with steel BB’s… or worse.
I never use it here anymore, it gets way too much attention.
Mason Dawson is the guy to contact, he usually has some available and he’s very helpful and knowledgeable.
He even designed and built his own gun, it’s called the “Free bird”, and it’s even more wicked than the Blackbird.
Here’s his contact information.
