What generation is the current Uragan?

I haven't been following AGT long, but I sure like what they are putting out. I have a Vixen that's a great little rifle--light, accurate, and simple.

I'm interested in the Uragan and curious about what generation they are on. I see the Vulcan is on gen 3 already. How about the current Uragan and the Uragan Compact?

And it looks like the Vulcan 3 is maybe the best of both rifles--the Uragan and Vulcan. It's hard for an old man to keep this stuff straight! LOL!

I probably shouldn't have said that the V-3 is "maybe the best of both rifles." I don't know enough to make that statement. What struck me with the V-3 is that AGT is using an air bottle rather than a cylinder. To me that's a real step up and to the best of my limited knowledge not on earlier Vulcans. (?)

I'm gonna stop here and try to extract my foot from my mouth!

Hard to fix what's not broke !

Had to say it ! My Compact hasn't a single problem, or not any desired changes to be done. Although overall tunability is a bit difficult, remember, they'll never be FX, tunability wise...I hope !

Mike

Glad you are enjoying your Compact! Looks like it's a step up from my Vixen shortie. I'm with you on the tuning!

yeah for 1st gen, they did very well with the uragan. The only thing my compact .22 needed was a huma regulator. The stock one was ok but not a huma. Other than that, I hope they can make it a little lighter for gen 2. I think the wood stock versions are lighter than my synthetic. It is my truck gun and i would love it if it even more if it lost a pound.

FYI...

I spoke with Derrick Wall recently. Derrick services the AGT rifles here in the US. He's beginning his own retail web site in the not-too-distant future and will be selling the AGT products. I don't get a cut. I just like Derrick.

Derrick is definitely a stand up guy. I would either pick him or Charlie to buy an agt from. Derrick walked me through setting up my wife’s Uragan compact and actually cared about how it shot. Charlie sent me some breech orings because I messed up….. I didn’t buy the gun from either of them. I’ve talked to both on the phone and they are definitely good guys, not just trying to make a sale and push you along.
