What for Christmas? Longish!

Bought 20 tins of Mark II for my birthday. Now I'm back to opining.

I've asked here several times but the discussion seems to wander off.

I shoot 100 and out substantially. At least I like that option for hunting. My gen1 impact has seen better days and I absolutely will not spend any more on it. Presently canablize bottle and barrels for the Maverick. Maverick is a compact and a great shooting gun. I hate to make it a long rifle. No more impacts for me.

With the improvement of slugs , increased availability, and more reasonable cost ( some are even competitive with pellets ) I am considering 22. Some have suggested throwing the 22 barrel on the Mav.

That's question #1. I suspect I know the answer.

Truly looking for 6-7 lb gun. LCS looks pretty good but, as an OLD M60 man, I realize the frailties of anything that rattles. However, haven't heard of any inherent problems. Have you? Put a 3 year warranty on it and I'm in!

EVOL is something to love, I think. Heavy! Safari LONG, heavy. Both are really too expensive. Not withstanding, THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! Not out of the consideration.

Looking for experienced suggestions in sub 7lb. Sub 39". Sub 2G. I know there are others, experience talks.

I am new to this site, about 2 months, maybe--

I saw the comment on the M60 and could not help but reply.

Being a former, once-upon-a-time, carrier of that loud, lumpy, jamming piece of metal, I understand.

I got the air gun bug a few years ago, but really did not discover the PCP world until this last summer, when I bumped into a guy annoying squirrel;s here in central Idaho.

I wanted a one time, buy-once-cry-once thing, so bought a Brocock Sniper Magnum. I put an Element optic on it and the weight resembles the M60 of my youth.

It shoots very well to this point, but still figuring it out.

Good luck with finding the right one.

yeah, idblkcld, carried one for several missions. However, f you forgot, it weighed 23 lbs. not counting ammo. barrel, gloves and other accessories. required @least 1 probably 2 more men to tote the extras. I won't forget nor will I own a PCP that reminds me of that torture!.

Mike Hunt, I've had my eye on the prophet for quite a while. there again I saw how the new Avenger shoots'. 400 or 1500 . ??????? . slugs and accurate.

also the biggest let down and most anticipated gun I've ever watched for was the Raptor. What a shame.
